Today the President is in Argentina for the "Summit of the Americas" where the leaders of the Central American Nations are discussing a possible CAFTA agreement. Today he met with the President of Argentina, Nestor Carlos Kirchner, and he also held a brief Presser with the Travel Pool. The President and the First Lady are celebrating her Birthday in Argentina

thank you all"Stop pushing me!!!":}}}}
Great pics
I feel they knew there were going to be protestors so the usual, used it as an excuse to tear everything up. Someone, somehow, has to stop these people. Most of them had their faces covered so you couldn't tell who they were. It's a good thing I'm not a policeman, because most of them wouldn't be standing very long.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MZ LAURA, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YEW!
He was asked about those being ugly to him and he said that the American people expected him to treat people with respect or be pleasant to them. Of course, I'm paraphrasing. At least, he didn't pretend that they WERE nice to him. If we would cut off aid to all those countries who show us no respect, maybe they would act differently. It's just like trying to teach kids--if they're never corrected, while getting everything they want, there's no incentive to be nicer.
Did you hear on Fox tonight that now people are saying they don't trust him. I didn't get the percentage. This is NOTHING but the democrats and liberal media. They NEVER report anything good, just negative and then when they lie, along with the negative, dumb people begin to believe it. I hope he starts fighting back soon. If he did, that would definitely help him. At least the media would report what he said because they'd like to say he angry, but while they're reporting the anger, maybe people will find out the truth as to why he's angry. How I HATE the media!!!!!!!!
I like the pic and I also like Laura's hair. I think she looks better and younger with shorter hair.
He looked thin on TV today.
BTW everybody, C-Span plans to be generous tomorrow--Saturday and show a 30 minute segment of his trip. Guess they think they're being fair and balanced by showing him for 30 minutes, then Rosa Parks funeral for 3 or 4 hours, giving the dems a chance to spew their hatred.
Anyway, the schedule shows the president, then Rosa Park's funeral, then the president and Rosa Parks again. So, we have a total of 1 hour of the president and 6 to 8 hours of the democrats. I guess we should be thankful for small favors though.
They'll probably show the riots for that 30 minutes, then the 3 hours of dems bashing him, so we'll probably end up seeing 8 hours of non stop Bush bashing.
Check c-span's schedule here: http://inside.c-spanarchives.org:8080/cspan/schedule.csp
Note that they will also be showing over 6 hours straight of the Rosa Parks funeral.
Please bear in mind that I do not in ANY WAY think that Rosa Parks' funeral should not be shown, but as usual, the democrats are using the event to bash the president--more or less, while highlighting clinton and his "wanna be president" wife. They have NO character at all. They knew that Ms. Parks funeral would be well televised, as it should be, but there's no excuse for taking the opportunity to trash President Bush. Somehow, I don't think Ms. Parks would have appreciated what they turned her funeral into. It was like another Wellstone event. I didn't watch too much of it, just because of what the dems were saying.
BTW, at the memorial service in DC, they NEVER ONCE acknowledged that President Bush was there, which I thought was pretty common of them. In fact, I don't remember them even showing his face during the whole service. They didn't miss Kennedy, Dean, Kerry, etc., however.
*sigh* We have learned to expect this kind of treatment of our president, but it sure doesn't make it any easier to take! God bless him and keep him safe on this horrible trip!
The left in this world only takes a stand like this when they see a threat. GWB is a threat to them and this explains their behavior.
....and I guess I'd better say good night myself! It's pretty late and I am having a time keeping my eyes open! ***yaawwwnnn*** Thanks again for all the beautiful pictures of a hero!
Sweet Dreams!
Mike
Until you said that, I had forgotten that I heard him make a similar comment to what you mentioned(also paraphrasing here LOL!) In response to a question - what will he do if he runs into Chavez while he's at the Summit. He said he would be polite to him - that what the American people expected of their Pres. I suppose that's true - many folks wouldn't take to kindly to our Pres making snide or rude remarks about or to foreign leaders (even though some of them and our past pres make ugly remarks about GWB). I think he needs to stay above the fray because of the office and he very much respects the office of the Presidency.
I agree w you - as he's staying "above the fray" and smiling and shaking hands w some of these twits who haven't helped us and often gone against the Pres, he can very politely say - you know [insert twit's name here] we really appreciate all of the *support* you've shown my Admin and the American people, but as you'll recall, we had they pesky little Katrina and Rita and we need to find funds to pay for it - -so, expect your aid from the US to start going down as of now.
