Texas Marriage Amendment: Time is Running Out
"The Right Side" ^ | November 2, 2005 | Texas GOP

Posted on 11/04/2005 7:10:19 AM PST by no dems

Early voting continues through Friday for the Marriage Amendment and eight other constitutional amendments. Chairman Tina Benkiser has worked tirelessly to raise money for GOTV efforts in support of Proposition 2. The Texas GOP has also sponsored marriage rallies and conducted radio and press interviews across the State. With less than one week remaining before Election Day, it is imperative that Republican activists do everything possible to help turnout local Party loyalists as well as friends, neighbors and fellow churchgoers. Groups opposing marriage are actively conducting a campaign of deception. We must work to not only turn out our voters but make sure they know that a vote FOR Proposition 2 is a vote FOR traditional marriage. The Republican Party has bulletin inserts that can be used in local churches and recorded messages by Chairman Tina Benkiser and Attorney Gen. Greg Abbott that can be sent through your email networks. Early voting locations are available as well as other resources on our website: http://www.texasgop.org/.

We've got to get people out to vote FOR Proposition 2 during early voting or on November 8. A "YES" vote is to amend the Texas Constitution to read that in the State of Texas, marriage is the union between one man and one woman only.

THE HOMOSEXUAL LOBBY / ACTIVISTS are coming out in FULL FORCE. We can't be embarrassed by losing this one or by it even being close.

I like to see Texas beat Mississippi's vote of +80% in favor of traditional marriage.

I'd be happy if we just tied Colorado's 70%.
