As many of you know, Kristinn will be holding a press conference outside the Washington Post building about Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley (D) and the Washington Post's role in the MD4Bush saga at 9:30AM. At a minimum, local Baltimore news media are expected to attend.

I lot of the undecided people I have talked to say that Phonyheit-911 just made them want to vote for Bush, because the movie was so shameless and so full of lies. Thanks Mike Moore--GOP hero! I seem to remember that there was only about a ten minute difference in the original WaPo posting and the relevant Freepmail dump on open pages of FR. Even stretching the timeline to one hour is a feeble attempt by WaPO to create more "distance" from Md4Bush.

The WaPo did in fact admit that Mosk at least used MD4Bush' login to look at Freepmails in MD4Bush' inbox. Oh, the temptation ... it must have been immense!

Steffen has the correct sense. From the standpoint of investigation, there is now sufficient circumstantial evidence to warrant a much deeper probe.

Noon WBAL News - MD4Bush story leads. Reporter - we still don't know identity of MD4Bush. Then, played 2 sound bites from Kristinn - FR wants WaPo to do an NYT-type investigation (presumably referring to Jayson Blair), and questions whether WaPo violated ECPA. Reporter: Washington Post says they did nothing wrong.

Kristinn sounded clear and calm, as usual.

Followed with clip from Steffen interview regarding firings. Claims he did not play political favorites.

Even on FR, every time this story gets a new thread, posters start asking the basic questions all over again. It is hard to know the players and the timelines without having known about the whole deal and the connection to FR. So it is practically impossible for a mainstream radio talkshow guy to give all the Cliff notes every time the topic is discussed.

12pm News report leads with protest at Wash Post- had quote from FR representive basically "We want investigation into Wahington Post in the same way the NY Times performed when they had their trouble"-News directer states that Washington Post denies knowing identity of MD4Bush to which FR spokesmen says Post could be in violation of Federal Law because they accessed private communications without expressed permission of account holder.

In a nutshell-if Wash Post denies knowing who MD4Bush is, then they obviously did not get permission to access private communication-thus a Federal crime.

Steffen said that he's convinced that Mosk posted several times as MD4Bush. I take that to mean the three posts on the night of 2/8.

Jim should have IP logs showing who was logged in as MD4BUSH at the time the PRIVATE FReepmails were posted.

There was about a 20-minute difference. The FReepmail dump on the TIPP Tracking poll post occurred at 11:14:48PM. The original WaPo article was posted at 11:34:15 PM.

I don't remember if we ever determined the exact time the WaPo posted the story on its website.

And it sounds like Jim Robinson isn't releasing the IP logs absent a subpoena.

The first dump (without underlining) on the That Dog Don't Hunt thread occurred at 11:05:05 PM. The second dump on that same thread (with underlining) occurred at 11:13:59 PM. So there was a 20-30 minute difference between the FReepmail dumps and post of the original WaPo story.
