Family members are investigating what they consider to be suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a nursing home patient at the center of a life and death tug-of-war reminiscent of the Terri Schiavo tragedy.
Seventy-nine-year-old Jimmy Chambers died in the early morning hours of Oct. 24 after the tracheotomy tubes that deliver oxygen from a ventilator to a hole in his neck became unhooked. Family members were told Chambers, a resident of the Anne Maria Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in North Augusta, S.C., apparently pulled the interlocking tubes apart.
"We're having it investigated. We're just incredulous," Chambers' daughter, Deanna Potter, told WND in reference to her siblings. "The last time I saw dad he was blowing me a kiss. I blew him one and he blew one back."
The retired dispatcher for Holland Motor Express died approximately 10 hours later. His death certificate indicates he died of "natural causes."
"Apparently, suffocation is a 'natural cause' when you're on a ventilator. We're contesting that," said Potter. "He suffocated. He didn't just pass away. He struggled and fought. And I'm just so angry."
Potter estimates it would have taken 10 to 14 minutes for her father, deprived of oxygen, to fall unconscious, and questions why the nursing home staff didn't come to his aid.
"The oxygen-saturation meter and his ventilator both would have had alarms going off. Four-thirty, five o'clock in the morning you'd think someone would hear this," she added. "That's the thing that really bothers me and makes me suspicious."

She REALLY left her post to cross the street to harass me! And, when a carny-worker Mikey supporter said "We have them surrounded now" the police told me to get off the sidewalk. I was trying to tell them that there were children in there and gee, that sounded threatening to me. Naw, it was free speech, GET OFF THE SIDEWALK.
This was Homeland Security protocol, over the top. Someone could do a movie just on the way Vigilers were treated by the cops.
Meanwhile, they are getting ready to execute Tookie out there. I may be wrong but I don't think Arnold is going to go against the Ca Supreme Court. Arnold and Jeb talk. I wouldn't doubt if Jeb told Arnold to hold firm.
If Tookie is granted clemency, it will be to avoid RIOTS proving the point that as a role model, he gets a D-.
I happened to be in the neck of the woods of Mikey's sprawling estate. It is by where Terri's cremains are but insiders at the cemetary note that he's not a regular visitor. Mikey lives off of a major thoroughfare, let me clarify. I am not going into his neighborhood. You see one sprawling estate, you've seen them all. Terri's money had to have built the place.
The ACLU wants to take over this country through litigation. That way they get wealthy too.
The murder of Terri had NOTHING to do with conservatism. That was a really big stretch that some freepers were willing to front here.

I agree. I can bet that if Tookie gets the death penalty tomorrow like he should there will be riots. I wish these no death penalty supporters would pick another hero than a gangster!

They may reflect and understand for the first time why we felt betrayed and sad when Terri was murdered even though we begged for someone to spare her.
The emotions will be the same except that we didn't riot. Instead we came back here and said that Terri will never be forgotten and vowed to keep fighting against the euthanazi's.
CORRECTION: The Barry Cohen who wrote commentary in the Palm Beach Post is or was a Judge, not Greer's attorney. HOWEVEVER, the remarks are still horrendous. Judges writing commentary in a paper? When will it end?
Yep, how truly sad. Thing is I would more than willing to overturn the death penalty if it ment that Euthanasia, death by starvation, or any other means of unnatural death are done away with!

San Jose is in Northern CA. I certainly hope someone comes up with a blueprint for some kind of protection. I downloaded two copies of NRLC(I always get that wrong-you know who I'm talking about)will to live. I haven't even started to fill it out, because now people are saying any living will document is potentially dangerous.
Ahhnold is a RINO. I held my nose and voted for him, rather than chance getting Bustamante as governor. The court says Fry Tookie, and Ahhnold should just stick to it, and have the NG and the Sheriff's Department on standby.

New remarks re: Tookie's date w/destiny. Arnold acted just like Jeb the past few days. He stood firm on Tookie.
