Family members are investigating what they consider to be suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a nursing home patient at the center of a life and death tug-of-war reminiscent of the Terri Schiavo tragedy.
Seventy-nine-year-old Jimmy Chambers died in the early morning hours of Oct. 24 after the tracheotomy tubes that deliver oxygen from a ventilator to a hole in his neck became unhooked. Family members were told Chambers, a resident of the Anne Maria Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in North Augusta, S.C., apparently pulled the interlocking tubes apart.
"We're having it investigated. We're just incredulous," Chambers' daughter, Deanna Potter, told WND in reference to her siblings. "The last time I saw dad he was blowing me a kiss. I blew him one and he blew one back."
The retired dispatcher for Holland Motor Express died approximately 10 hours later. His death certificate indicates he died of "natural causes."
"Apparently, suffocation is a 'natural cause' when you're on a ventilator. We're contesting that," said Potter. "He suffocated. He didn't just pass away. He struggled and fought. And I'm just so angry."
Potter estimates it would have taken 10 to 14 minutes for her father, deprived of oxygen, to fall unconscious, and questions why the nursing home staff didn't come to his aid.
"The oxygen-saturation meter and his ventilator both would have had alarms going off. Four-thirty, five o'clock in the morning you'd think someone would hear this," she added. "That's the thing that really bothers me and makes me suspicious."

Hi Sun~~
I think it's the PAC that you heard about. Today FOX cable news was scrolling the news about Schiavo on the bottom of the screen. He seems to be getting lots of free advertising for his little stunt.
I'm really shocked at the nerve of this guy. Attacking Rep Tom Delay for trying to save an innocent woman's life, is the most insane and ridiculous thing I've heard. Schiavo needs to get a heart. The Delay's are caring people whom I'm sure the people of Texas will continue to support. I'm so sick of the continued distortion of the facts in what happened to Terri.
Schiavo talks about HIS privacy being invaded. I WANT TO KNOW WHY HE GAVE A VIDEO TO CNN OF TERRI WITH HER BLOUSE PULLED UP - EXPOSING HER STOMACH - WITH HER FEEDING TUBE STINKING OUT - AS **HE** STOOD OVER HER BED. She had beads of sweat on her forehead. The date was 2002, probably when they removed her tube the first time. WHY DIDN'T SCHIAVO CARE ABOUT TERRI'S PRIVACY???? That video had to be made by Michael Schiavo and was given to CNN with his permission, imo. Terri was scared and she knew what was happening, imho. I wish someone could get that video from CNN and find out why Schiavo exposed Terri like that.
Now Schiavo is complaining about his marriage and his privacy. What about Terri's privacy and her rights? Sorry for the caps Sun. I'm not shouting at you at all. I just want to strongly point the hypocrites for who they are - Schiavo and recently Clinton with his - Christians need to go heaven and not get health care BS speech.

Totally dependant upon which state you are in, you should be able to sign any document and also set its expiration date. For it to be revoked on the following birthday is perfectly reasonable. I don't think your lawyer is a pretty good lawyer at all. You told her what you wanted and she could not come up with the language to convey what you wanted. If a document becomes void on a certain date, you don't have to renew the fact that it is void and it has no effect. Your "pretty good lawyer" doesn't know that an expired document is expired and no longer enforceable? I hope she didn't charge you for the consultation.
A better alternative, and you can prepare it, have it witnessed and notarized yourself. Also no expiration date.

June Maxam of The North Country Gazette, nails it again, is up and rolling today with a look into what the Judge was doing on AOL.
I was outside his court room that day he made his slimy decision and they wouldn't let the few of us into the court room. We could sense it then the fix was in, and the cruelty maintained with the agonizing delay in announcing his decision, as Terri lay weakening. Gotta watch my tongue. (or keyboard)
Why's Schiavo Judge Reading AOL Message Boards?

Nurse Mikey somehow seems he is bulletproof, and so far it looks like no matter how egregious his behavior, he only grows fatter.
May justice finally be served here on earth to this guy.

His day is coming...I keep expecting to read that one of the prisoners at the jail has done something to him. Everyone reaps what they sow.

A lot of people don't realize that after the hospital gives you morphine for the pain, you're unable to communicate so you can't make your wishes knownI can attest to this from personal experience. After having an operation and being given morphine for the pain, I got agitated when no one would answer me when I spoke to them. Turns out, I wasn't "talking" out loud. Pretty spooky.

The more Michael Schiavo does and says, the sicker I feel. I really wonder what Jodi is up to lately. Is she still with him? If she is, she is really STUCK ON STUPID!!

He'll walk. It's okay to lie under oath. Just wait until he screws up, and harms or kills an inmate because of lack of credentials. Everybody's gonna get sued.

Everyone needs to watch their fingers. Message boards are scrutinized by various LE agencies. We all get screaming mad about various topics, but it's wise to reread your post before you hit enter. (I wish there was a feature where you could edit or delete a reply that has already been posted)
The possible sentence she's facing is extreme, however she did threaten to kill a judge.

In my opinion, these two pieces of the story alone should have brought government interference all right. It should have brought a thorough police investigation.Of course when you work for the sheriff, your gf's mom worked for the sheriff, it can get in the way of a non biased investigation.
How many of us have been sitting and waiting for the book and movie deals that will financially enrich MS? He's found a more clever way to line his pockets.

Thanks for your kind words. I can tell you that the family will never give up, but will work to try to save others from a similar fate.

Whittemore owed his job to Felos' ex-wife. He should have recused himself but his so called random selection was anything but. (fv says: so many lies by the feds, so many coverups).
From NCG: Immediately following the hearing, George Felos appeared on Fox News, stating that he was "impressed" with Whittemore, saying that the judge would not succumb to public pressure and that he was confident the Constitution would be preserved. In other words, Felos was satisfied he had the judge in his pocket. And no wonder, considering Whittemore owed his position to Felos' ex-wife. (From Judge surfing aol message brds link).

Jeb Bush is playing both sides of the fence. Apparently, Jeb is advising people to not donate to the TerriPac. Of course not donate because Schiavo is endorsing mostly flaming liberals.
Where was Jeb when Terri needed him? He was nowhere.
The GOP has more to do than to come out against Mikey's fight if they want to keep their constituents.
I know so many people who have left the GOP for good and they aren't looking back. Maybe as the head of Fla's GOP, Jeb is going to act like it now.

WHY WAS ADULT ENTERTAINMENT KING OF TAMPA, JOE REDNER ALLOWED IN THE FIRST HRG HELD BY JUDGE WHITTEMORE BUT A WOMAN IN A WHEELCHAIR WAS NOT ACCOMMODATED AND COULD NOT ATTEND THE HEARING?????
The courtroom art and mention of Joe Redner was on the internet briefly and when it was found out that Joe Redner was there, the artwork was pulled and also mention that Joe Redner was at the first hearing. At the first hearing, Whittemore stalled and stalled for 12 hours just to say the tube wasn't going back in.
JOE REDNER AND JAMES WHITTEMORE, are they both atheists and members of the ACLU? (more reasons for Whittemore to recuse himself). The Atheists of Florida are fans of Whittemore as is the ACLU. Redner belongs to both organizations. I guess he went to the first hearing on behalf of the Christian haters and the aclu commies to watch the Schindlers get disrespected by Whittemore.
Freepers and lurkers, we are still here telling the truth about this matter.
TERRI WAS MURDERED.
