2nd night they should have declared martial law and started shooting the violaters.

I'm sure the French are stunned by this. They no doubt thought that by making nice with Saddam that they had bought themselves an antiterrorism insurance policy. Fools. They should know that you can't bargain with snakes. I thought that whole fiasco called WW II would have taught them something.
