Free Republic to Speak About MD4BUSH and the Washington Post
Newspaper Involved in Scandal that Goes Beyond Governors Race and Maryland Politics
WHEN: Friday, Nov. 4, 9:30 A.M.
WHERE: 1150 15TH ST., N.W., Washington, D.C., The Sidewalk in front of The Washington Post Bldg.
DETAILS:
FreeRepublic.com, an independent conservative news and activism Web site, will hold a press conference in front of the Washington Post building in downtown Washington, D.C. at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 4.
FreeRepublic.com, one of the most popular and influential political Web sites, was used by a poster at the forum with the screen name MD4BUSH to play a political dirty trick on another FreeRepublic.com poster. The dirty trick breached the confidentiality of the poster with the screen name NCPAC.
The apparent aim of the dirty trick was to clear the path for Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley to run for Maryland governor while hurting the sitting Governor, Bob Ehrlich, who is running for re-election.
The Washington Post played a key role in the furtherance of this dirty trick. Their role in this scandal has ramifications that go beyond Maryland politics and is reminiscent of Watergate, but with the players' roles reversed.

Lock and load, baby! Woo, hoo!
No valium-by-postings here, sorry.
His post is good. Why do you care if he's new?
You guys ROCK!!!
We talked over freepmail and we are good. THanks
Nice to have you here. Welcome.
So far, you sound respectfully polite and above-board. I'm sure, after lurking, you understand everyone's concern for trolls.
Welcome to FreeRepublic!
I do understand, and I'm not offended by the challenges and distrust. In fact, given the subject matter of this thread, it is obviously a healthy attitude to have.
In any event, thank-you for the welcome. I'm very pleased to be here.
JimRob corrected the number of zots. It was misunderstood. The number is 20-25 a day, not the 200 that was heard incorrectly and reported earlier incorrectly.
Who is our official representative and spokesperson at this press conference?
Ix-nay on the orns-hay.
Nam Vet
BTW, did you catch this? House Defeats Bill on Political Blogs
I don't know who is writing these press releases but they are sophomoric.
It doesn't seem like any MD democRAT wants to find out which of their pals is MD4BUSH, so I won't hold my breath either.
What did The Washington Post know and when did they know it?
In the National Review, June 7, 2005, Stephen Spruiell wrote a long article.
An excerpt...
Suppose, however, that Deep Throat had orchestrated the Watergate break-in and then leaked to the Washington Post in order to frame his co-conspirators. Would his motives matter then? Judging by the Posts recent reporting on a political scandal in Maryland, the motives of anonymous sources feeding information to the paper are not important if the result is a chance to relive the Posts glory days of Watergate, if only in some small way.
Ping to #54 for link.
Of course they don't. They want to keep spinning the deceptive Steffen angle which presents this story as one of Republican dirty tricks. That's the way they originally set this up with the collaboration of The Washington Post. Steffen is their Lee Harvey Oswald patsy. We need to see who is hiding in the liberal Grassy Knoll.
You mean............everybody else waits till midnight?!
That one's true! I read about it in the NY times!
