Although this post is somewhat narcissistic, it still gives insight to the growing popularity conservatism is receiving on campuses like ours.

The libertarians are NOT going to like the slam at the beginning of this article about their favorite illegal drug.

I'm glad things are going more conservative.

Birkenstock-clad, dye-hued, pot-smoking conservatives. Liberals are today's establishment. Its funny what the Left now finds shocking. But we stick to our convictions. That's the important thing.

The college republicans here (UCSB) brought Ben Stein to speak for about an hour. Some idiot stood up in the middle of his talk and yelled "America is NOT the government, you facist f**k!!!" The idiot then proceeded to try to exit through a closet. He made himself look like an idiot.

The pendulum is swinging back to the right. Gives a ray of hope for the golden state's future. :) If their parents don't ruin it first.

While I appreciate those who "counter" demonstrate, and those who are "activist" in their conservatism, I think that the true strength in the Conservative movement is with those who just plain speak the truth, and are honest. Let the leftists hire artists, and dance and such, while those of us conservatives, like the VAST majority of the nation, just go about our business ignoring the Idiots.

I think that mimicking the tactics of the loons gives them validity, we are best being the "silent majority" who only speak when we truly know, or truly believe.

The world doesn't need more cooks, on either side, but rather the rational and honest opinions of those people like _I_ respect. sobriety in statements, and calm in a storm are more poignant than any screaming chicken little.

It must drive the Liberal professors bannanas to have these students around. The Conservatives remind them of what they really are.

The University where I recieved my undergraduate degree for engineering (Syracuse) is like most others these days: they spend countless dollars on ridiculous programs and faculty.

For example, thousands of hard working parent who saved and sacrificed to make tuition payments for their son or daughter pay this person's salary:

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) Resource Center, established in October 2001, is a newcomer to the Division of Student Affairs. The mission of the LGBT Resource Center is to provide education, advocacy, support, and safe space for LGBT and allied students, staff, faculty, parents, and alumni of Syracuse University. I invite you to explore this site for information about the Resource Center, what’s happening on campus, our Resource Library, on-line resources, how to get involved, and much more. Adrea L. Jaehnig Director

It is an outrage that these ridiculous people are highly paid so they can feel good about their own wretched lives and "lifestyle", while at the same time recruiting others into their own personal hell.

The 4 years I spent with the CRs at Indiana University were great! We felt like the freedom fighters in that old miniseries "V" when the planet is taken over by aliens. Even better, many of the CRs still are close friends even 8 years after graduation.
