Why hasn't the administration and Pubs in Congress talked about these issues?

The biggest failure of the Bush Administration has been their inability to get this news out to the public, not only in terms of WMD's, but also in terms of other successes in Iraq.

Until they do so, we run a grave risk of losing the WH, and decreasing our majorities in both the Senate and the House.

Agreed.

There needs to be a long list, reviewed point by point, with the American people.

Another point:

Why are Democrats so intent on telling 2,000 military families their loved ones died for nothing?

Sigh. If we've learned one thing about the Bush Administration, it is that they are not stupid.

So perhaps it's not a matter of "failure," but rather the price they're paying for keeping secret operations secret.

But of course, it's lots easier to simply assume the worst.

I personally feel that the information will be released when the time is right. Most likely it is currently considered classified, and Bush puts his country above himself.

Once it becomes public information, we'll see it in the paper.

I'm guessing that a lot more has happened, or is happening over there than we know.

I can understand the MSM keeping these stories under wraps, but why the Congressional Republicans remain silent is beyond me.

The government could always post on a government site or turn the material over to the RNC and they could post on their website.

Then everyone would have the info and with the Bloggers and places like FR, the MSM would have little choice but ignore or tell the truth!

If the stuff needs to be declassified it should be done. After all, it is now captured material!

You are so right! Bush manages a good speech once in a while, but that isn't enough to counteract the incessant criticism, lies, and distortion that the MSM and Democrats are bombarding the public with. Why aren't his spokespeople pointing out the truth about Iraq weapons? I don't understand it. It's almost like they've given up trying to influence public opinion. Reagan he ain't and that's a major problem with his presidency.

I agree, but given the constantly shifting "proof" of some of these things, combined with the need to maintain confidential sources, I can understand why the Administration would be hesitant to jump in with both feet on a PR campaign based on ANY of this info.

Consider the Atta/Al-Ani meeting: the Czechs have never backed off this; and the Iraqi records IMPLY that it occurred, but to my knowledge there is no other independent verification. Now, I believe the Czechs, but if Bush went out with just that info, there would be a half-dozen "sources" that would discredit this. Their discrediting would be a lie, but it would sufficiently muddy the waters that such a PR move by Bush would result in less credibility, not more.

What if it's not a failure? What if they're not talking about it because they don't have it all and they don't want the terrorists getting to it before we do. Better that the world thinks there were no WMD rather than "we found some but still have to find the rest".

I think when history looks back, the left is going to look really, really bad.

So why couldn't they have talked about that yesterday??? I just don't get it? Instead of Frist sounding like a beaten wife, why couldn't he have said "It's time for the scales to fall from these democrats eyes. We just removed 1.77 tons of enriched uranium from Iraq. Don't tell me they didn't have WMS. We've found Cyclosporin. Don't tell me they didn't have WMD... " etc.
