DUMPY FRUMP A FASHION DISASTER (why don't they leave the poor girl alone, already)
NY POST ^ | 11/2/05 | ORLA HEALY

Diana would be amused. Her successor and former rival, Camilla Parker Bowles, failed spectacularly in her attempt to wow Manhattan society with her sartorial splendor last night.

Dressed in an unflattering Anthony Price navy velvet frock with a fussy oversized chiffon collar, the Duchess of Cornwall arrived at a chi-chi cocktail party looking more like an escapee from the choirboy pew of Westminister Abbey than the guest of honor.

Earlier, Camilla caused quite a stir when she chose an eye-popping raspberry suit for her visit to Ground Zero.

We predict an "off-with-their-heads" ruling to come down on the core team who were supposed to create the "Camilla Chic" glamour on this trip..... and "a secret dresser," whose identity is fast becoming a gag in fashion circles.

Princess Diana ... the Paris Hilton of her era. Get over her folks ... she was all about celebrity.

That's fair. You are right. I am sure that Charles is a better action man than he is a thinking man. When he tries to think, he gets it so wrong that he ends up sounding like a detached academic. Wish he had stuck with organic gardening as a theme vs. the glory of Islam.

Diana complained the tabs were hounding her, but she was not above manipulating the media when she wanted to get back at her mother-and-father-in-law, and her husband.

"I'm going to tick off some of the royal watchers, but I've always thought that Diana was nothing more than a party girl. Charles must see something in Camilla, he's been with her for ages. It's certainly not her looks."

I agree with you Diana was a party girl with nothing upstairs. It wasn't just Charles who eventually became bored with her. Camilla looks fine for a woman of her age. Charles, on the other hand, looks terrible.

Is anybody else fed up with the obsession over royals? A bunch of rich, inbred, idiots who are handed titles through no accomplishment of their own.

You know, with Gortex lip enhancements, a full facelift, dermabrasion, cheek
and chin implants, a neck tightening, cleavage, a new shade of lipstick, and
a crown-lift hairpiece, and Cam would be a Diana lookalike.

SO FREAKING WHAT...New Yorkers are so superficial. It truly is one of the reasons I left. I like Camilla. I know I'm one of the few who despised Diana and like Camilla. Screw the press...that woman has taken so much. Even Diana's own sons say they like her and that she is treated entirely unfairly by the press.

"I think Diana would have been quite "normal" if her disgusting husband hadn't been such an uncaring dog."

Agreed. She was just the breeding stock needed for heirs as Camilla was too old...and married to someone else.

I see adulterers and nothing more when I look at them. I hardly see "star-crossed lovers" as they try to portray themselves.

Great pictures ... Diana was a little more circumspect dressing like Paris only for her many boyfriends ... Charles was not one of them ... had she dressed like that for Charles they would still be married.
