Does anyone know how long O'Doherty has been a "former" State Democratic Party official?

I've found his name on MD Dem press releases as late as January 2005 -- three months after he started posting on FR.

"That would make this Jim Smith 59 or 60 at the time of the email, if the 1945 refers to a birth year as so often
happens."

Unless someone is being purposefully deceptive with their email address.

You'd think a varmint operative trolling various internet sites would have the brains to have a different screen name or three.

FR sign ups are dated according to Greenwich Mean Time which is at least five hours ahead of the US time (depending where you live). So he could sign up at 7:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday 11/1 (or any time thereafter) and show up as joining on Wednesday 11/2.

Executive Jim Smith was born on Feb 8, 1942. Could be a red herring where O'Duh'erty created yet another fake email address to mislead investigators.

Or just a coincidence.

Repost to this thread:

http://www.thewbalchannel.com/news/5229899/detail.html

Josh White, political director for the Maryland Democratic Party, said Tuesday night that O'Doherty for the Democratic Party for about a year and left in January "to get a better paying job."

White said, "The whole thing's a sham by the governor to distract from the fact that Steffen came out and pointed a finger straight at the governor. Once again, the governor cannot take credit for his actions and the so-called evidence is completely ridiculous and they know it."

When asked if he had any knowledge of who MD4Bush is, White said: "No, absolutely not."

You are missing a central part of the story. MD4Bush, while he was Director of Communications for the Maryland Democrat Party, put posts on FreeRepublic that "bush must win," and "don't trust Kerry," etc. He was lying through his teeth, perhaps to accomplish a two-fer: to smear both O'Malley AND Ehrlich -- perhaps in accord with his brother, who was then working for Montgomery County Executive Duncan.

Where does Duncan come into this, I hear you cry? Well, Duncan is running now against O'Malley in the primary for Governor, and if he wins that, will run against Ehrlich in the general election. And the brother may have been the go-between who gave MD4Bush's password to the Washington Post reporter used to sign in falsely onto FreeRepublic.

If you don't see anything wrong with that, you must have grown up on New Jersey politics. LOL.

"A decision could add to an emerging body of law shaping free-speech boundaries in the Internet age, when people using screen names as aliases regularly gripe online about politicians, employers and investments."

"The area is of great concern on Wall Street, where online postings have affected stock prices and tarnished corporate reputations."

After GW was sworn, a group of pseudo conservatives, many of which, were Gold Bugs or Bear Market investors would gleefully report the daily lies from the left wing so called news centers. Many of these clowns lost their posting privileges, but a hard core of Doomers and Gloomers are still here ready to post their bs.

Regardless of how good the economic news was, they had some fabrication to shoot it down. It became pandemic during the 2004 election, running hand in hand with the "Worse economy since Hoover", BS coming from the DNC and Kerry's camp.

CBS Market Watch was one of the worse so called business news outets and still is bad even after CBS sold it.

Reuters, AP and Bloomberg gleefully printed lies the days before an economic report comes out. When the final economic report came out, they would bury it and still parrot the terrible economy bs.

In the late 2002 and during the 2003 stock rise, where our indexes started to recover from the Clintoon 2000 crash, the 9/11 crash and the temporary May 2002 take over by the rats in the Senate, the gloom and doomers here and on the news sites were orgasmic spewing their gloom and doom.

The 64 million $ question re these gloomers and doomers is a simple one. Do they post and spin the gloom and doom because their political heroes can't get elected. Or are they hired to do so by a political party or one of George $oreA$$es pseudo non profits?

One of our own, Richard Poe has studied these trolls and labeled them as Electronic Brownshirts. Richard noted that they are immediately on internet sites to defend the DNC whenever they get into trouble and on our sites to make fun of the evidence we have.

How many MD4BUSH's are long time Electronic Brownshirts on this site and other conservative sites, posing as the real true conservatives while spreading bs, spins and maybe worse?

He was Communications Director for the Md. Dem Party at the time he sneaked onto FreeRepublic as a "conservative Maryland Republican" and engaged in his private, trolling e-mail exchange with NCPAC. He left that position and went to work for the Baltimore Metropolitan Commission, where one of his bosses is Mayor O'Malley of Baltimore.

By this time, he should have been either fired or forced to resign from that job. See the Post Script to the article, below.

He set Steffan up and stretched the truth about Steffan's statements. He fed Steffen ideas and "led the witness" so to speak. Dirty and illegal.

The circumstantial evidence is already strong enough to take it to the criminal justice system, IMHO.

Highly illegal. A violation of FERC, if I am not mistaken.
