But as always...not in my backyard...My feeling is that technology has progressed to the point that existing refineries can be demolished and two new refinieries built in the same spot!

ExSolider...I like your thinking...actually being here in the northeast...there are many refineries in my backyard. Your idea sounds great. The existing refineries being rebuilt would be a great idea, if technology would make them operate cleaner and more efficient on the same existing spot.
