Snip: 12/6/2005 6:00 PM A Rochester teen is under arrest after a scuffle with a police officer assigned to Monroe High School. According to police and school officials, the school resource officer tried to search 16-year-old Jihad Perry after receiving reports that a student was bringing a gun to school. Police say Perry tried to run and even threw punches at the officer, who then used pepper spray to subdue him.

The officer then discovered what appeared to be a gun in Perry's waistband. It turned out to be an air gun that's a replica of a 45-caliber handgun. The gun was confiscated.

Hezbollah boosting ties to Al Qaeda claim

Snip: WASHINGTON, DC, United States - Lebanon and Israel may be facing the prospect of massively increased terror attack threats. New reports claim that al-Qaida has set up an organizing center in Lebanon and that Iran has boosted its ties to West Bank Palestinian militants, especially Islamic Jihad, who have launched a new suicide bomber campaign against Israel.

The Lebanese Shiite weekly Shiraa, which opposes the Iranian-backed Hezbollah, or Party of God, is claiming this week that al-Qaida has already set up an operational command base in the country. It also claims that Imad Mughniyeh, the prominent Hezbollah leader, is representing al-Qaida in talks with potential sympathetic Palestinian leaders in the south of the country.

Curious stares at wife provoked Osama to jihad

Snip: The friend Khaled Batarfi, a Saudi journalist, who lived down the street from bin Laden in the 1970's, told the magazine that one aspect of his trip that made a strong impression on bin Laden was the curious stares by airline passengers at his wife, an observant Muslim, who was dressed in a draping gown and full head covering - attire unfamiliar to many Americans at the time. Some passengers even went so far as to snap pictures Batarfi told the New Yorker, adding that when bin Laden returned to Jedda, Saudi Arabia, he told people that the experience was like "being in a show."
