UK police chief says attacks foiled - report
LONDON (Reuters) - Britain has thwarted attempted terrorist attacks in the last few weeks and faces the continued threat of a repeat of the deadly July 7 London bombings, the country's top police officer said. Ian Blair, commissioner of London's Metropolitan Police, said the force needed greater powers to cope with "a new reality" in the wake of the attacks on the capital.
"The sky is dark," Blair wrote in an article for the Sun newspaper on Wednesday. "Intelligence exists to suggest that other groups will attempt to attack Britain in the coming months."
He gave no details of the past or future threats. A London police spokesman declined to comment.(snip)

Somethin's up.
"UK police chief says attacks foiled - report"
FOILED.
Good and may the rest of the attempts go the same way -- FOILED.
"The sky is dark" - wow, I don't know if that's common British phraseology, but in this context it sounds uncomfortably ominous... :-(
Considering how proactive the Brits have been capturing and smoking out suspects this article is frightening. That there could be attacks imminent is hard to believe. Although the fact that they let all those mulsims immigrate to Britain doesn't help.
We have done the same, stupid, stupid, stupid. They still come in on student visas, and I wonder how many are taking classes in flight training as we speak, or biology/chemistry so they can blow us up some day or infect us with something.
