Sadly, this is true. There is suspicion and mistrust in the Venezuelan communities in the U.S. right now. People don't know who the Chavistas are, and anti-chavistas are afraid to identify themselves for fear of repercussions for their relatives in Venezuela.
That is a sad situation, for sure.
