ARTICLE SNIPPET: "TACOMA - An unidentified gunman is holding several hostages at the Tacoma Mall, which was locked down Sunday afternoon after shots were fired inside near the food court and the JC Penney, forcing scores of frightened shoppers to scramble for safety.

A record store employee said he’s being held hostage.

“We’re being held hostage,” said Joe Hudson, who answered the phone and identified himself to The Associated Press as an employee at a Sam Goody store inside the Tacoma Mall.

Hudson said little else, but could be heard telling someone that he was talking to the AP. Then he hung up."
