I'm bringing creme brulee cheesecake which will be one hot & yummy item at our Thanksgiving dessert table this year.
I already promised Ruth that I would bring LOTS of tinfoil.
In the meantime, please send me your recipe for the creme brulee cheesecake. I just bought one of those "kitchen-sized" propane torches to blast the sugar topping for that lucious brown crunch. I'm dying to try it out.
Ruth, I do windows. I work magic with a squeegee and ammonia.
That sounds absolutely wonderful.
Let me see what I'm bringing and I'll post the recipe.
Laughing, as I think of the menu.
Green Beans and wonderful deserts....sounds good to me.
Years ago, I loved to bake and would do so all day, breads, cakes etc.
But I hated to cook dinner.
Bill had few set laws, but one of them was a real dinner, not sandwiches for dinner.
I would be all so happy from all my lovely baking, and he would be wanting real food on the table.
Once I was in bed sick, my mother came to help and got started baking pies, all kinds, her speciality (not mine).
When reminded that Bill would be wanting dinner, she fed him hot dogs.......
And I knew then, where I had gotten my baking from.
Yes, we could both cook, good farm cooking, or as I found out on the internet a few years ago, she cooked what I found were Cherokee recipes in a Cherokee cook book.
She was a full blood Cherokee, and we do cook differently and with more herbs, than many.....more like a Mexican cook.
