After falling down a short set of stairs near my laundry room, breaking two bones in my arm and wrist early this year, the use of the word "traction" becomes quite meaningful (laughing now).
The Muslim threat within this country
Snip: It was no mere coincidence that the 'D.C. sniper' (John Allen Mohammed) is a Muslim. This ruthless coward was even a bodyguard for Louis Farrakhan. Amazingly enough, the foul-mouthed Farrakhan was strangely silent on the matter. I can guarantee that at least in private, he was cheering this thug all the way.
Mohammed murdered several innocent people and ruined dozens of lives, with his sidekick Lee Boyd Malvo in the trunk of his car. The pair perpetrated a true act of terrorism around this nation's capital. That Muslim murder spree will certainly not be the last seen on American soil. Make no mistake, there has been a "call to arms" made by the Muslim world and their target is not only the American citizen, but the American way of life itself.
Airline Maintenance: More security urged of outsourced work
Snip: There are 212,188 repair stations in the U.S., according to the Federal Aviation Administration, but Mead said the number of FAA inspectors has fallen in the past two years to 3,200 from 3,400.
He said airline maintenance officers do a lot of inspecting of the airlines' own maintenance, and are supposed to do the same for outsourced repair work. "We found they'd show up once, twice, three times a year," Mead said. "That's a big issue."
Grenade found at Chennai airport
Snip: Sources said that the grenade was powerful enough to blow up the entire cargo complex of the airport.
Cargo, the easy route for terrorists
Snip: The problem with airline security is that its reactive shoes were never checked before the shoe bomber came along, said Philip Baum, editor of Aviation Security International. One day, a bomb will go off in cargo; only then will the powers that be react.

Canadian cases of Norovirus surge
Snippets: Approximately 150 people have reported contracting the virus, formerly known as Norwalk virus. Capital Health officials have pinpointed 15 places where the outbreaks have occurred over the last month, including continuing-care facilities, seniors' residences, schools, child-care facilities and private social gatherings.
And there are likely more cases than those reported with those outbreaks, said Dr. Gerry Predy, Capital Health's vice-president for public health and medical officer of health. "Lots of people with diarrhea and vomiting are into the (doctors') offices these days," he said.
Predy - who refused to name the locations of the outbreaks - said there are still a couple of facilities where people are ill with Norovirus, though it appears the outbreaks are winding down.
