Who would have thought that it all starts at home?

But what Sydney courts fail to recognize, whether deliberately or not, is that jihad indoctrination is sanctioned by the Qur'an and is passed from generation to generation. It's a cultural thing, silly! Concerning a mother's accountability from The Age:

MOTHERS convicted of inciting their children to kill in the name of Allah may face life imprisonment, according to a terror law expert.
Secretly recorded conversations produced in evidence in a Sydney court this week showed that terror suspects were allegedly told by their spiritual leader to ask their mothers for permission to wage jihad.

"Some people claim to love jihad but don't respect their own parents," Abdul Nacer Benbrika is alleged to have told two of his co-accused, Mazen Touma and Omar Baladjam.

"You need permission from your parents to go to jihad. If your mother says no to jihad, then no jihad."

Two days later, Touma is alleged to have asked his mother for permission to wage jihad. Her response was not given by the police in evidence.

Barrister and terror law expert David Neal said parents convicted of inciting their children to kill could be jailed for life under Victorian law and for up to 10 years under Commonwealth law.

"Incitement to murder carries a maximum penalty of life under Victorian law. If it is believed that you are urging your child to commit a crime, then you have committed incitement," he said.

DNI and D/CIA Announce Establishment of the DNI Open Source Center

The Director of National Intelligence, John D. Negroponte, and the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, Porter J. Goss, today announced the creation of the DNI Open Source Center (OSC) based at CIA, effective 1 November 2005.

DCIA Porter Goss, who will administer the Center on behalf of the DNI, said, "The DNI Open Source Center represents a major strategic initiative and commitment to the value we place on openly available information."

The Center will build on the established expertise of the CIA's Foreign Broadcast Information Service (FBIS) — an organization that enjoys a long history of providing the US government highly valued open source products and services. The Center's functions will include collection, analysis and research, training, and information technology management to facilitate government-wide access and use.

The Center's director will be Douglas J. Naquin, a senior CIA manager with extensive experience in the open source and information technology fields. Mr. Naquin most recently served as the Director of FBIS. He will be assisted by two deputies: one will focus on the Center's day-to-day operations; the other will be responsible for Community Integration. The Center's director will report directly to the CIA Deputy Director in executing strategy, policy, and program guidance established by the DNI through his Assistant Deputy Director for Intelligence for Open Source.
