I would say that the U.S. was/is the target.

The manifesto says the world is the target and we are considered the icing on the cake.

Look at the 1990 manifesto and also dig into the older ones, as the 1990 is a rewrite of one that went back to about 1919.

The search without a date, tells the entire story, as it is the manifestos that they are working on for each country.

I looked at a few countries, they all say the same thing:

It is time for the muslims to take over and have their desires.

Granny, I remember when I was a senior in high school in Alaska, we had a speaker from the "south 48" who came to our class to talk about the Communist threat. He scared me to death then and I have never forgotten his words. My eye is always on Russia and China. That must have been back in 1959 or 1960. (Dating myself here)

Al-Qaeda calls Queen [of England] an ‘enemy of
Islam’
Sunday Times ^ | November 13, 2005 | Abul Taher

Posted on 11/12/2005 5:27:16 PM PST by West Coast Conservative

AL-QAEDA has threatened the Queen by naming her as “one of the
severest enemies of Islam” in a video message to justify the July
bombings in London. The warning has been passed by MI5 to the
Queen’s protection team after it obtained the unexpurgated version of
a video issued by Al-Qaeda after the 7/7 attacks. Parts of it were
broadcast on Al-Jazeera, the Arabic satellite channel.

In the video, Ayman al- Zawahiri, second-in-command to Osama Bin
Laden, targets the Queen as ultimately responsible for Britain’s
“crusader laws” and denounces her as an enemy of Muslims.

A senior Whitehall official said: “MI5 is aware that there are some
pieces of that video that have not been aired. They are aware of the
bit of al- Zawahiri talking about the Queen and they have notified the
relevant authorities.”

I have not found either of the articles on the British Royalty being muslims.

I will alert you if I do, as it wasn't high on my interest list, I didn't pay a lot of attention to them.

I am sorry that The Queen is on the hit list for al-Qaeda, that is not going to make it easy for your country.

I do pray that she will be safe.

Zarqawi Movement Pledges Allegiance to Bin Laden

Date Posted: Monday, October 18, 2004

/>DUBAI, Oct 18 (MASNET & News
Agencies) - The Tawhid wal Jihad
group of Abu Mussab al-Zarqawi, the
most wanted man in Iraq, pledged
allegiance to Osama bin Laden's
al-Qaeda network, in a move it said
aimed to increase the "ire of infidels
and the fear of the enemies of
Islam."<?xml:namespace prefix = o
ns =
"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

"We announce that Al-Tawhid wal Jihad [Unity and Holy War], its emir
[Zarqawi] and soldiers have pledged allegiance to the mujahedeen [holy
fighters] Osama bin Laden," said the statement, reports Agence
France-Presse (AFP).

It was the first such public pledge by the group which is led by Zarqawi,
whom the United States has branded the chief operative in Iraq of
al-Qaeda, which carried out the September 11, 2001, anti-U.S. terror
attacks.

The statement said Zarqawi considered bin Laden "the best leader for
Islam's armies against all infidels and apostates," reports the Associated
Press (AP).

However, the authenticity of the statement could not be verified.

Zarqawi, who like bin Laden has a $25 million U.S. bounty on his head, has
claimed responsibility for a string of deadly attacks in Iraq, including last
year's bombing of the U.N. headquarters in Baghdad, and multiple
kidnappings and beheadings of hostages.

"Sheikh Abu Mussab al-Zarqawi was in contact with the brothers within
al-Qaeda for eight months. They exchanged points of view and then there
was a cut due to fate," the statement read.

"Suddenly contacts were restored.

"Our brothers in al-Qaeda understood the strategy of Al-Tawhid wal Jihad
group in the Land of the Two Rivers (Euphrates and Tigris) and were
satisfied with our line," said the statement dated October 17.

"With the start of Ramadan, the month of victories and a time when
Muslims need more than ever to close ranks, to gouge out the eyes of the
enemies of Islam ..., we announce this good news to our nation, to the joy
of Muslims."

Some extremists said that the pledge of allegiance was aimed at
attracting more fighters to Tawhid and Jihad under the banner of al-Qaeda
to expand the group's "holy war" in Iraq, reports Reuters.

The statement also endorsed bin Laden's goal to "expel the infidels from
the Arabian peninsula" - a reference to American influence in the al-Qaeda
leader's native Saudi Arabia, reports the AP.

Zarqawi, a man with a string of aliases and a background as a common
criminal, spent years in the lawless wastes of western Pakistan and
Afghanistan. Before the U.S.-led war on Iraq, he was linked to Ansar
al-Islam, a militant group operating in Kurdish-held northern Iraq.

Although Washington has long accused Zarqawi's Tawhid and Jihad Group
of links to al-Qaeda, the posted statement was the group's first public
admission of ties to the network, the news agency reports.

His relationship to bin Laden and the al-Qaeda leadership has long been the
subject of considerable speculation. Although many experts believe
Zarqawi had longtime ties to al-Qaeda, others suspected that Zarqawi
considered himself a rival to bin Laden for the mantle of chief defender of
the Muslim faith, reports the AP.

"But we've always said there were ties between Zarqawi and al-Qaeda,
which underscores once again why Iraq is the central front in the war on
terror," White House spokesman Trent Duffy said in Washington. "It's also
proof positive of why the president's firm resolve to fight terrorists
overseas so we don't face them in America's neighborhoods is the only
clear way to prevail."

Bin Laden, believed to be hiding in Afghanistan or in the border areas of
Pakistan, has faded somewhat from public view and recent declarations by
al-Qaeda's leadership have been made by his deputy, Ayman al-Zawahri,
the news agency reports.

Zarqawi's declaration appeared two days after the U.S. government
formally declared his Tawhid and Jihad a terrorist organization. The listing
imposes several restrictions on the group, including a ban on travel to the
United States and a freeze on the group's assets in U.S. banks, reports
the AP.

In a separate statement also posted on the Internet and attributed to
Zarqawi's group, it said one of its leaders, Abu Hafs Allibi, had "fallen in
combat alongside the heroes" of the Iraqi rebel stronghold of Fallujah.

He headed the group's Islamic shari’a law committee, it said.

U.S. and Iraqi officials believe Zarqawi's movement is centered in Fallujah,
where U.S. troops clashed Sunday with insurgents. However, Tawhid and
Jihad banners have been seen recently in Samarra, Ramadi and even on
the streets of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, reports the AP.

Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Allawi has ordered residents of the town of
Fallujah in western Iraq to surrender Zarqawi and his supporters or face
invasion by U.S.-led forces.

On Sunday, U.S. forces and insurgents battled around Fallujah, trading fire
on the outskirts of the town as U.S. aircraft pounded rebel positions.

The presidents of Russia and Uzbekistan signed a military treaty at the

influence in the former Soviet republic, which until recently was a U.S.
ally. The deal, which could foreshadow the establishment of a Russian
military base there, allows each country the use of military installations
on the other's territory. The agreement also calls for them to provide
