Laughing here. That was pretty good.
The CIA uncovers a secret: how to look things up on the internet
http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2005/11/28/1133026405281.html
(snippet)
Not everyone in the intelligence agency derides publicly available information, writes Susan Glasser.
THE CIA now has its own bloggers. In a bow to the rise of internet-era secrets hidden in plain view, the agency has started hosting weblogs with the latest information on topics including North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il's public visit to a military installation (his 38th this year) and the Burmese media's silence on a ministry reshuffle. It even has a blog on blogs, dedicated to finding useful information in the rapidly expanding milieu of online journals and weird electronic memorabilia on the net.
The blogs are posted on an unclassified, government-wide website, part of a rechristened CIA office for monitoring, translating and analysing publicly available information, called the DNI Open Source Centre. The centre, which made its debut this month, marks the latest wave of reorganisation in response to the failures of intelligence collection before the September 11, 2001, attacks.
Isn't it wonderful to share with friends? That was good of you.
My last guests left this morning. Still playing catch up with the towels, bedding, TM, etc.
Now on to that most glorious day, Christmas!
An interesting observation from another thread:
"Mad Mo wants you to send your son to die for his Allah, and kill as many infidels as possible. Whereupon he will be duly rewarded by spending eternity in a whorehouse."

You must be exhausted, having guests staying at your house...is a joy, but an exhausting joy.
Now to start Christmas shopping. LOL
Hahahaaha! So true.
Power Plant Explosion Leaves Thousands In Dark
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- An explosion at a power station early Monday sent fireballs into the sky and knocked out electricity to about 35,000 customers.
Investigators said two transformers blew up when two power lines touched. Firefighters using foam had the blaze under control in about two hours.
Six families were forced from their homes while officials checked for dangerous fumes, and several schools without power were closed. The families were allowed to return home within an hour of the 5:30 a.m. blast at American Electric Power.(snip)

Hope this isn't a repost.
Marines Quiet About Brutal New Weapon
War is hell. But its worse when the Marines bring out their new urban combat weapon, the SMAW-NE. Which may be why theyre not talking about it, much.
This is a version of the standard USMC Shoulder Mounted Assault Weapon but with a new warhead. Described as NE - "Novel Explosive"- it is a thermobaric mixture which ignites the air, producing a shockwave of unparalleled destructive power, especially against buildings.
A post-action report from Iraq describes the effect of the new weapon: "One unit disintegrated a large one-storey masonry type building with one round from 100 meters. They were extremely impressed." Elsewhere it is described by one Marine as "an awesome piece of ordnance."

I am glad you had fun and a good holiday.
Please, don't think of me while you are cooking and eating,
I was reading your mind.
My mother always said that if company came, you just added more water to the soup and fed them.
I do not understand people today.
As little as we often had, we always had company and they ate.
The best way to keep something quiet, is to not talk about it.
I haven't found ABC radio news to be false and if it is a 'hate Bush' piece, they do it with the tone of voice, as a rule the words are ok.
The missile was the opening or second piece on both broadcasts.
Having heard it and knowing it was expected to happen there, does not make it hard for me to believe that a missile was fired at an airplane.
Strange things are happening, the 3 Congressmen in Iraq, with a truck that didn't move and missiles that are fired here, is a taste of what we were promised.
That looks like a very interesting read Granny. Saving it for later tonight.
I don't know why CIA needs to open new websites, all they need to do is read the Threat Matrix.
"Able Danger" information getting loose, might have had something to do with this latest move.
I had to read that twice! When pigs fly.
Forgive me for being so slow, I only woke up minutes ago.
