What did the British soldier say of the GI's? "Overpaid, oversexed and over there".
Yanks: "Underpaid, undersexed and under Eisenhower."
Wow.... of all the things to worry aboutwith the world on fire.
In boot camp, the drill instructor was fond of telling us recruits that when we get home we will find our wives and girlfriends just like we left them...freshly f***ed.
How shocking to think that war undermines chastity !
Wasn't there a wartime British popular song I once heard a bit of,
"I'm going to be lit up when the lights are off in London..."
I wonder what she was singing about.
Now I understand where Mayfair magazine got its name.

I've always fancied Sporty Spice.
Are you serious???Where was this???When was this??? Although the DIs at Fort Knox in '69 were saying/doing some sick things, they never said that to us.
Talk about destroying a recruit's morale for no good reason!
But people were happy then
I dunno... this report looks "sexed up" to me. Those Brits are acquiring a reputation for that, you know?
"And most recently, a Roman toga party was held, from which we have received two dozen reports of individual acts of peversion, SO profound and disgusting, the decorum prohibits listing them here."
MCRD, San Diego, 1977. I remember it well....on at least one occasion. No one got upset over it.
They never told you about Jody???
The Drill Sergeants at Ft. Benning talked about very little else when there was some down time.....
I was stationed at RAF Mildenhall from 72-75, no change then. Lots of women were hanging around all the USAF bases there.
