Guantanamo?
We can always hope, but no.
"Sandy is presently walking away, BECAUSE WE DID NOT HAVE THE BALLS TO HANG HIS SORRY ASS!
Don't look for blame anywhere else, it happened because we let it happen."
Hey! Don't talk about TRENT "JACKASS" LOTT like that! You might hurt his feelings!
I kinda wish we were all playing kickball (or whatever it was called) out in the street and we could trade this "sorry ass" for Lieberman....the lesser of the two evils apparently!...
I'm right with you on that one...when I get mad at the Republicans it's usually because of not being forceful enough! And I blame Bob Dole! Always caving in...at least it seemed that way then. (sigh)
"Don't count of Frist bringing up his name. He's too interested in making up with Dingy Harry."
Frist....grrrrrr. I'm still "disgruntled" over his complicity in that Humvee armor deal...One of the companies that had the contract to make the plates (if I recall) was in Tennessee, and the contract was running out. And if I recall, it was a Tennessee based reporter that "broke" that story...there's more to that but I can't recall it all at the moment...
Time for Senate Intelligence investigation into JFn Kerry's exposure of CIA agent during public hearings. Why did he do it? Why is he still in the Senate? Where is the SP?
When are the gloves coming off?
"I don't where Sandy is, but some papers have gone missing."
What kills me about that whole situation was that by comparison of the seriousness of the deed....Bergergate was an elephant in a Chinashop compared to Watergate...
We should have Benedict Arnold'd him...:/ OTOH, I've suspected that the Bush admin made a deal behind the scenes...just what it was I'm not sure...hopefully it was something like "Hillary won't run"....Doubt that though...it may have been "sabotage Kerry"...>:)
"As Rush says, these are acts of desperation by the left. They are digging their own graves. Hopefully the Republicans will stop being nice-nice as a result of this."
Unfortuantely it seems like I've been waiting forever for them to stop playing nice-nice...(shrug)
"Time for pressure for Senate Intelligence investigation into Sandy Berger......"
OOoooooo, now that's some good stuff there! In a perfect world....
It seems there are qite a few of us....mmmm..."unsatified" with the elected "leaders" response to these things...
But then again....we wouldn't want them acting like Pelosi either! We might lose that edge of not being *whacked*!
So, how can Republican mens' cujones be enlarged and their spines stiffened? Or, must we look to Republican women to get the job done? Or, is the Republican party simply incapable of being a representative of conservative thought and action any longer? The border issue is convincing me the latter is probably the case. I'm so ready (past ready) for a new party of true conservatism with strength.
"So, how can Republican mens' cujones be enlarged and their spines stiffened? Or, must we look to Republican women to get the job done?"
I think you may be right on with that suggestion...the "men" sure aren't getting it done...:/
"Or, is the Republican party simply incapable of being a representative of conservative thought and action any longer? The border issue is convincing me the latter is probably the case."
Methinks this may be a true issue between Conservatives and Neo-cons....
The Neo-cons don't seem all that interested in cinched up the control on the borders...and even though Chertoff has come out with what appears to be some compromise deal (deport them, then let them back in - I still think we should implant them with RFID chips if they actually carry that out..lol), I don't think it will be enough to satisfy Conservatives...especially those with isolationist tendencies...
"I'm so ready (past ready) for a new party of true conservatism with strength."
Another Reagan revolution? It'll have to start with the true Conservative think tanks gaining more "sway"...seems the neocon think-tanks dominate now....
Is there a list around of "Conservative" as opposed to "Neo-con" thinktanks?
An area I need to learn about, too.
I wonder: would it be paleoconservatives, or protoconservatives?
ping
Couldn't agree more!!
He's currently COVERT, dincha know!!
Seems like it would be Paleocon....:)
Do we have a bookmarked link at Free republic?
He's currently COVERT, dincha know!!
Uh-oh, we better get ready for our Fitzmas indictments. /sarc
