When I was there we pulled tens of thousands of mortar, artillery, tank, and air defense rounds from garbage dumps and other hidey-holes around Baghdad. We think we put a dent in the stockpiles, but were far from cleaning them all up. This proves our assumption correct.
My recollection is that there was an estimated 400,000 TONS of ordinance and hardware in Iraq. Whew. I'm sure you've made a dent, but there may be a long way to go anyway.
