Nope, just awful itching. No pain to speak of.

My ex had restless legs and was full of mental woe.

Last snide remark about ex for this week.

A good B complex helped my restless legs to get better.

It went away for me. It's possible that the weight wasn't the only reason. Maybe diet has something to do with it, because mine has also changed quite a bit. I just usually credit the weight loss with fixing most of my health issues that disappeared. But I have drastically cut fat and sugar, and I do a bit of exercise, though usually sit ups and things like that.

Hope that your husband finds something that works. Restless leg syndrome can be maddening.

Unlikely. Thanks for the advice anyhow.

Yikes..well, I am a chronic insomniac...and have never heard of RLS..This is all news to me! :o)

"If I am depressed, it is because the freaking dims are making me that way."

Yep, thats what Im contributing my depression to as well! LOL

MM

Boy can I relate to the insomnia... I have tried everything...as I am sure you have. Ambian, was my friend until they stopped giving it to me. Now, I just get about 2 -3 hours of constant sleep. The pills they gave me for RLS is suppose to make you sleep but it just makes your legs cramp, so I have given up on it as well.

Wasn't this something Rush created a couple of years ago as a parody. Then some professor 2 yrs later went on TV spouting the dangers of it and was lobbing for some Federal Funds to study it?

Yep, Ive tried a few different meds, I did try Ambien, got about 4 hours of sleep, but woke up on the floor. I dont think I liked that! LOL
Its funny, my sleep pattern is the same as yours. I sleep in naps, regardless of the time of day... I sleep 2-3 hours, not necessarily at night, just whenever I think I can.
Ive pretty much given up as well. :o)

Absolutely not. Rush made fun of a syndrome that's been around for years. You can take out books written in the 90's, well before the timeframe you mentioned, and find RLS.

I stand corrected.

Hi to all of you fellow Freepers who suffer from RLS/PLMD. Would love to have you join the discussion on the message boards at RLS.org, board at:

http://bb.rls.org/index.php

The temptation to laugh at such an oddly named disorder is understandable for those who do not suffer from it. I've always wished it were called something more disgustingly suitable, something that would adequately describe its ability to destroy my life, literally taking away my career, my home, and my family......and unless someone comes up with a miracle cure...... any chance of ever returning to a life of independence and normalcy.

Not an illness I would wish on my worst enemy.
