Please do not use the ST*U acronym anymore. It is distasteful and makes me want to say "why don't you".

Isn't there a nice young intelligent conservative Republican with hair in MS to run against this RINO?
To: Brilliant
Does that mean you are not a Democrat or you simply don't want anyone here to know that you are?

Don't be such a prig. I'm from New York, and that is our nature.

Hey, Lott engineered his own demise if and only you believe his congratulations to Strom Thurmond was some sort of vile racist attack.
I suppose honest people might disagree over the matter ~ after all, these guys were once die-hard, unreconstructed Confederates ~ but people say a lot of things to old folks when they reach 100 years of age ~ none of it true or meaningful.
BTW, how do you treat the elderly in your family, and in your neighborhood?

Well that makes two.
First RINO Senator Gregg proposes redistribution of wealth from oil companies to "low income people", and now this gem from "Spent-a Lott".
I said earlier today, "another day, another RINO appears on our radar scope."
Now, let me correct that............. another day, two more RINOs appear on our radar scope.
Here is the Senate makeup: A bunch of Marxists, a handful of liberals, a boat load of RINOs and ZERO conservatives.
Truth sucks.

At no time does any human have any excuse to sound, act and speak like Chuckey Schumer.
You can do better even if you are from New York.

He got reelected with 72% of the vote, because he has bought off half the "Republican" politicians in NY. Pataki (for all of his faults) should have run against that cretin, but the party bosses would not let that happen.

I wish Trent Lott would lean to keep his mouth shut. He needs to learn to - Keep quite and thought a fool rather that open his mouth and remove all doubt.

Yet another lesson for the unbelievers who thought we should have kept Trent Lott on as Senate Majority Leader. He was a gutless "lets just all get along" semi-RINO leader then and he has went from bad to worse since he lost the job to Frist.
To: Clemenza
I'm not a prig, the F word is part of my venacular, but that acronym was used against me when I was making a logical argument and it p*ssed me off. When I responded (apporpriately), the moderator killed the thread - flame war. I responded to the moderator that I would challenge the use of the acronym everafter. Besides it is a poor way to make a point.

If Trent Lott demonstrates disloyalty to the GOP, he can hardly complain if the GOPers criticize him.
To: Brilliant
Yeah, but you gotta' remember who struck first. Anyway, part of the problem is Trent is from Mississippi and our Northerners tend to distrust him for that fact alone.
Why folks who mis-trust Mississippians should trust a Texan is beyond me.
Others still think of him as a cheerleader with a cheap toupe.

Lott hung himself when he went around apologizing to anyone who would listen. The remark he made was twisted out of context to be soooooo politically incorrect but the groveling he did afterward was disgusting.

Trent's groveling made it impossible for those few of here to defend him.
That was the White House's first serious PC breach and I just shrugged it off.
Doesn't mean I had to like it.
Folks have long memories.

Trent knows his seat is safe as long as he wants it.
After the way Bush,Rove and Frist stabbed him
in the back I wouldn't blame him for anything
he says or does.
And all these Trent haters on FR can KMA.

Gee I guess it really is mean of us to be angry with a guy that goes and splits power 50/50 with the Dems when he has the votes to actually run the joing.
