NOPD after Karina
Premieres Tuesday, November 1 at 10pm E/P on Court TV
Encores Friday, November 4 at 11pm
The scene: a Court TV production team is shooting a documentary with the New Orleans police department when Hurricane Katrina, one of the most devastating storms in U.S. history, makes land. Rather than pack up and flee, the crew decides to stay, and when hundreds of police officers go AWOL, Court TV rides shotgun with two NOPD cops as they remain on duty, trying desperately to restore order with few resources. With unprecedented access, this intimate documentary goes behind-the-scenes with these officers as they navigate the tense, emotionally-charged atmosphere where a new set of horrors waits around every corner, while at the same time they deal with their own personal losses as citizens of New Orleans. Hurricane in 3D ping...
One of the channels has been showing pretty good coverage. I believe it's called SOS Coast Guard.
I've seen that - it's on the Discovery Channel and it is good.
But I'm still waiting for the National Geographic Magazine (Not the TV Channel) to do a story on 911...
Oh for God's sake!!! Can we let Katrina blow herself out somewhere over leftist land?
The one on at 9pm EST is the one to watch according to the NY Post.
Seems politically accurate to me, inasmuch as
they touch the political side.
Stressing local and state are the primary responders.
Making clear that Bush urged the evacuation of NO.
Not bad. I couldn't watch the entire thing but I saw
most of it.
