Why stop it? As another stupid Democratic stunt it does nothing but help the Republicans. Just look at Reid's' news conference afterwords, you can't buy that kind of publicity if your a Republican.AWB

They can be fun to read. Anti-FReepers post there sometimes, and it's good for a few laughs for us old-timers.

You know the timing of this is interesting. Give the breaking news about extremely wide spread long term voter fraud in Detroit by the Democrat Machine could this Senatorial hissy fit just be a diversion tactic?</p>

Democrats said the "extraordinary move" was needed because they have been trying for a year and a half "to get an investigation by the Senate intelligence committee into the use and misuse of" pre-war intelligence. When the Dims are done with their tantrum can someone gently remind them that they DID get that investigation? It's the same one that revealed Joe Wilson as a serial liar.

I agree, but I live in Illinois. I wish I had a Republican senator I could even think about not voting for.
LOL - I'm in NY with Shmucky Schumer and ... you know who.

No, the Republicans did NOT "cave" into the Democrats demand. In fact, Senator Roberts, a republican who chairs the Intellegence Committee said (on John Gibson)they were already working on this and in fact stated that they had already let the democrats know that they planned on continuing this next week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The republicans are irate right now and rightfully so. They themselves are saying the Democrats pulled this stunt because they are upset Rove did not get indicted last week.

Reid's head exploded. That hasn't been determined yet. Reid is going to form a committee to see if his head did indeed explode.AWB;)

"But the American people deserve to know not just whether this Administration committed crimes, but whether this Administration told the truth - the full truth, the straight story," Rockefeller said."So who did author that Senate Democrat Intel Committee memo saying to politicize all war intel against the GOP, Mr. Rockefeller?!

I'm having a hard time understanding what the Democrat's are doing. This is "what are they doing" not in the "I can't believe they did that" sense , it's the "guy in boxer shorts is out in the center of the street in sub-zero wearing wearing a bucket on his head and doing the macarena." sense of the phrase.
Are they so effing stupid they don't realize that the probe turned up exactly, precisely, NOTHING? Or are they just going ahead with their original strategy because they don't have anything else to do?
BTW, related, is O'Reily taped or does he do it live? I'd like to see what he has to think about this...

" The Republicans should call them to the carpets by producing the memo that they got their hands on, which details from months ago that the Democrat strategy is to keep asking for investigations of Republicans, and if there are any indictments, to demand another investigation that goes straight to the top. What are Republicans waiting for?"
I agree.
It`s time we crimminalize their policies and have them arrested.
They want WAR , let`s give it to them.

["At some point the majority needs to understand that we are willing to bring the Senate to a halt until they will join us in conducting the kind of investigation this situation demands," added Rockefeller.]
Oh PLEASE, let the Democrats try to halt Congress in order to try to make some sort of asinine political statement about that which few people in this country care about. They only people who will applaud are the tin-foil hat wearing nincompoops at "The DU House O' Conspiracy" website.

The move illustrates the Democrats' hatred for cutting spending, Santorum said. "They'll go to any extent to try to avoid ... any discussion about shrinking the size of government. Oooo, I like it. Their 'concern' isn't real. It's all an act.
