It was Durbin who immediately seconded Reid's motion. The republican senator presiding over the senate didn't call for a vote. Maybe on this procedural Rule # 21, it isn't necessary.
Of course Reid and Durbin (and the rest of the dem leadership) planned this stunt to catch Frist unaware.
CNN Bob Franken said the democrats have succeeded in grabbing the headlines away from the President's statement on Avian vaccine.
Wow, what a blow to Bush. (rolling eyes!)
Well, let's hope Frist does more than b!tch at the TV cameras about how they "broke the rules." Find the man some steel toed boots and let's see him kick these clowns in the behind.
LOL. I find that hilarious.
LOL---I am sure that Bush is brokenhearted that the dems would showboat to get attention from his Avian Flu speech...
Let's all remember this...and IF the flu breaks out and the dems accuse Bush of not taking is seriesly, and people say they weren't informed...WE WILL KNOW WHY..

Piggy Boy Durbin 2nded the motion? He had some self-satisfied little smug smile yesterday on Fox. He should be dragged out of the Senate Chamber by his tie, down the front steps of the Senate and onto the street, have his pants pulled down and sodomized by Iraqi rape room survivor wearing a strap on.
It's not. A motion and a second, and closing the doors is AUTOMATIC. Rule XXI takes precedence even over a Senator who has the floor and OBJECTS to the Rule XXI Motion! No debate, no nothing. Motion, second, CLOSE THE DOORS.
