What they really want is media coverage--but how will they get their fair share of sound bites and face time with the doors closed? Well normally the MSM isn't really covering the Senate. Now they are. The rats will come out one by one and talk to the cameras. They will get more coverage in the halls then on the floor, it is that simple.
