Harry Reid just made a motion, that was seconded, to send the Senate into closeed session.Schumer, Rockefeller and Durbin are before the press asking for a Senate Intelligence investigation into the Plame affair
The Dems had to spring a surprise, just to get some media attention. Republicans would only look silly and defensive by fighting back. It aint about winning and losing, people. Its about what gets passed and what doesn't. Grow the hell up.
The evening news will lead with this story, not Judge Alito. That is what Reid accomplished. The news media will of course link today to Scooter Libby, and Reid's job is done.
They are after Condi Rice and Donald Rumsfield too. Am I the only person who remembers the Democrat memos that Manny What's-his-name was fired for reading? The ones from Rockefeller's staff about how they would proceed to impeach Bush that they forgot to password? The Republicans have had the Democrat game plan printed out from the computer since before the 2004 election when Orrin Hatch still chaired the Judiciary committee. Hatch fired his staffers and apologized for them "stealing" the info. I guess the Republicans felt it was "unsportsmanlike" to use the info that was obtained so they are pretending it doesn't exist. The sob's will be cooperating with the Democrats to take down the Bush administration or pressuring them to resign before long.
And while the Dems launch their warhead, the Persians are busy building their own. Are these people so blind? A society becomes decadent when it hates itself more than its enemies.
But the general voter will not be happy at this attempt to shut down the Senate
Yes, Michael Medved had a guest on that said all the middle school, high school and college kids are being urged to skip school tomorrow!
By "they" I meant the dims have lost. If Schumer had to hurriedly get out front before the session ended it was because the Republicans will present a better, clearer appraisal of the situation when the lights go back on -- which is happening now.
Theater, nothing more.
Even the MSM is calling it a "stunt."
I have held my fire against Frist for too freaking long.
I'm done now. I'm sick of him. Frist is a loser, acting like a loser. I don't care what happens to him anymore.
Where, in the name of all that is holy, are the Rebublicans who are actual genuine men? I'm disgusted. Again.
Pincus and Kristoff (Wilson was their source) before Novak and Corn and two others (Not MSM bigshots, reporters)
One more sales commercial in the "Culture of Corruption" tm advertising campaign.
um dude there's nothing on the floor up for a vote
Senate has always prided themselves on decorum and congeniality. Good old dem apologist Matthews said that was the old Senate and Frist broke the rules when he campaigned against Daschle in his own State. In other words whatever stunts the dems come up with is fair game now. Political theater on the grandest scale.
i say bring on condi if that is what the dems want
Is there a way to get transcripts later? I'll see what I can do, when I get home.
What I am thinking right now will get me banned if I write it. Does anyone else feel the same way?
We need a DeLay-like leader (hammer) in the Senate.
Time for us to pre-empt the press and get this out in the blogshpere: Phase Two already under way!
Theater, nothing more.
Even the MSM is calling it a "stunt."
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Becareful, even MSM is playing the stunt to look outraged with a MSM I told you so (I am with youon this stunt)phase to replay later.
the general voter doesn't even know or care
If it was in process, it must be stopped or the Democrats will have gained huge advantage by this stunt. Republicans are weak when challenged and so afraid for their political survival that they end up endangering it. This is turning into a big Democratic win IMO.
