Dr. Dobson: Liberals Say "Sky is Falling"
NewsMax.com | 10-31-05 | Dr. James Dobson

Posted on 10/31/2005 7:39:02 PM PST by no dems

Focus on the Family Action founder and chairman James C. Dobson, Ph.D., issued the following statement today about the nomination of Circuit Judge Samuel Alito to the U.S. Supreme Court:

"We are extremely pleased by President Bush's selection of Judge Samuel Alito, who has earned the respect of colleagues in both parties for his legal acumen and courtroom demeanor.

As a federal judge for the last 15 years, Judge Alito has demonstrated that he understands the role of the judiciary is to interpret existing law in light of the Constitution, not make new law in service to a personal political agenda.

"Perhaps the most encouraging early indication that Judge Alito will make a great justice is that liberal senators such as Harry Reid and Charles Schumer and leftist pressure groups such as People for the American Way and Planned Parenthood have been lining up all day to scream that the sky is falling. Any nominee who so worries the radical left is worthy of serious consideration "Based on what is now known about Judge Alito, we applaud the president for this outstanding nomination."

I love it when someone in the public eye unashamedly and without fear, calls out the radical libs by name such as Harry Reid, Charles Schumer, People for the American Way and Planned Parenthood.

Dr. Dobson: You go boy!!

-----
And this is precisely what has the radical anti-Constituional socialists running in circles. Because it is totally diametric to their agenda and direction. Politicizing the judiciary, activist corruption of the SCOTUS, all for the purpose of institutionalizing socialism in America, IS THE AGENDA OF THE RADICAL LEFT!!!

Too bad Chuckie, Teddy, Hitlery, and the rest...WE HAVE YOUR NUMBER !!!!

The sky is falling on their plans for a humanist socialist republic.

Kinda of a slap at the previous nominee.

He slapped, but I'm sure he did it with a smile. After the torture the Miers nomination put conservatives through, there should be some red faces in the White House.

"Any nominee who so worries the radical left is worthy of serious consideration "Based on what is now known about Judge Alito, we applaud the president for this outstanding nomination."

When Dr. Dobson has to be pointing at these groups reactions as reasons why we need to consider to support this nominee ... I'll say this:

Maybe Dobson is not quite the representative of the 'social conservatives' as many think.

Like Ann Coulter says, "If you don't have liberals frothing at the mouth, then you aren't doing it right"

You know what it's like to be a liberal?....It's reckoning with the realization that George W. Bush's personal lawyer turned out to be the more favorable choice.

I've found 'Social Conservatives' to be a 'necessary evil' in the grand scheme of things. For the most part they wouldn't vote Republican if it weren't for the threats that Democrats pose to their religious beliefs. I find Dr. Dobson to be a terribly annoying, small individual but we politically arrive at the same place at the end of the day for very different reasons.

Dobson is great isn't he? He's an intelligent, pro-family man and I applaud him for his remarks.

What makes social conservatives a necessary evil? The Republicans used to be proud to be a Pro-Life, Pro-Family party.

Ditto to that, the first thing Dobson should do is be quite
until he knows all of the facts surrounding a nominee.

and the truth is social conservatives should realize that
they will not see all of their agenda in put into place.
Heck, just limiting the size of govt and seriously looking
at teenager getting abortions and partial birth is almost
enough for me. Not to mention the assault against Christmas
being blunted would be great.

Dr. Dobson: Liberals Say "Sky is Falling"

Any group whose sole aim in life is to raise money has to scare people out of their wits to get them to pay up.
