The only thing bad I see about Wal-Mart is the financing of the Chinese military machine thanks to the Clinton administration's granting of Most Favored Nation trade status. Last year, China consumed 50% of the world's steel production and 25% of the world's concrete production. They didn't get that money from selling rice and seaweed. Thanks, Bill.

From the looks of his resume, Trippi isn't much of a success.

Correction: The only thing bad I see about Wal-Mart damn near every US merchant, is the financing of the Chinese military machine thanks to the Clinton administration's granting of Most Favored Nation trade status...

Kneejerk reaction ping.

If unions are for something, it must be bad for productivity, so I am against it.

One of the countries largest companies, over $18 billion in Chinese inventory. They're not the only one, but they're a huge piece of the pie.

"China accounts for almost 50% of the world's concrete consumption, 40% of steel consumption and 35% of coal consumption."

Not only is it a movie Walmart doesn't want to see, it's one I don't want to see.

Joe Trippi...began his political career working on Edward M. Kennedy’s presidential campaign in 1980. His work in presidential politics continued with the campaigns of Walter Mondale, Gary Hart, Richard Gephardt and most recently Howard Dean.

They're not the only one, but they're a huge piece of the pie.

Wal-Mart's purchases from China make up only about 2.4% of China's total exports. I guess we just define huge differently. Purchases from China made up only about 8% of Wal-Mart's total purchases last year. Wal-Mart purchased $150 billion from American suppliers last year which comprised about 68% of their total purchases.

Wal-Mart gets attacked by losers like Trippi not because they are successful but simply because they exist.

Wal-Mart gets attacked by Unions and Costco. Unions do a tremendous amount of damage to our world. The key points against unions are:

1) Free speech restrictions.
2) Limited production.
3) Limited freedom to work, or give. (Teachers unions restrict teacher's abilities to coach for instance.)
4) Political interference.
5) Forced membership dues.
6) Warring unions can drive businesses into bankruptcy (USAirways, Delta).
7) They encourage black-market labor (illegal immigrants)
8) They are elitist and set the agenda. (You can't become a teacher unless you allow yourself to be indoctrinated into liberal think-NY).
9) Union members answer to two bosses - their shop steward and their boss.
10) Unions encourage violence against non-union workers.
11) Unions work hand-in-hand with mafia type groups.

And if Costco (a media darling) can't win by fair, it will win by foul.

Where do you buy your sneakers? Where were they made?
Where do you buy your sweatshirts and T-shirts? Where were they made?
What do you buy that Walmart does not sell, and where is it made?

Good list. In addition the are of Communist derivation and follow Communist style and doctrine. Who gets all their money? The Democrat/Communist Party.

Add Eastern Airlines to your list and they are now trying to put Boeing out of business. The biggest culprit? The machinists union.
