Watching WH briefing John Roberts Just apoligized to McClellan by sayin "I'm sorry for my unfortunate choice of words this morning". McClellan just nodded in response.
Shouldn't John Roberts recuse himself?
The P/C crowd should be going nuts.
He asked if Alito was "sloppy seconds". What an a$$.
When I read the comment, I shrugged it off as arrogant, but then I didn't know the meaning of the term.
Who in the world does he think he is? Man, if he was my sonr, I'd have hold of that ear while soaping his mouth till bubbles came out of his butt. Then I'd march him right through the gates of the WH (SS would know I was a mad Mom, they would clear a path.) and make him apologize to the President and Scott McClelland.
Not only was it totally unnecessary and "rude", it is the type of thing that would get anyone fired if thay spoke to the representtative of a big company that way while on the job.
What he says at home & off the job is his business. But I would never say it to someone who represented the President of the United States while performinmg a job that supposedly had professional standards. Roberts also represents CBS News (okay, I know).
I will write CBS. McClelland can accept the apology with grace. He's better than I, but again, he is a professional also.
And while I am at, what's the deal with David Gregory? All he wants to do is pick a fight.
Poor Palladin-aren't you sorry you answered my question? (You do know the rant had nothing to do with you, right?)
Yeah. I'm surprised he apologized, they all say so many things. He proved that he's just a radical liberal hack with NO journalistic integrity AT ALL. Just a liberal whore for the democrats. All there is too it. Just like most of the media are liberal media whores.
Me too, just now. How is it ok to talk about POTUS like that, but if someone did the same in a bar he would have his a$$ handed to him? Sheesh....
"sloppy seconds?" He really had the gall to say that!?
This ones busy sending out e-mails of outrage to CBS and all their advertizers.
Fairy-boy Roberts should be made to make a public apology in prime time to the President,CJ Roberts and Ms.Harriet Miers and then be stripped of all WH credentials and fired from CBS.
I just sent my email to KCOY Channel-12....a Clear Channel station.
He's not sorry. He's pathetic.
Hmmmmm.... I think you should familiarize yourself with the phrase "My Government is totally corrupt, my Army/Navy has attained third world status, I have to go to the USA to have basic medical care and I'm waiting for one of the million Islam-0-fasist that Canada willingly allowed into the country to blow me up".
Sloppy seconds is the least thing you need to worry about.
There's a lot of comments being posted now on their website. A couple of Canadians are supporting him but the rest mostly are saying how disgusted they are.

I see there is an explanation of his apology posted now on the main CBS page also.
I can only hope the other channels such as ABC NBC CNN etc., will have a field day with it.
Canadians? who the sam hill cares what they have to say about OUR country?? Freakin' wannabes wimps.
It's my understanding that John Roberts is a Canadian and my point was that when I read the comments on CBS he was only receiving support from north of the border.
I wasn't yellin' at you :) Just venting about our gracious neighbors....
He did apologize. I respect that...
Okay, for those of us who worked all day, what did Roberts say?
Glad to see we're on the same wave-length..:>)))
Even if he had no idea of the meaning of the term sloppy seconds, his question was beneath the dignity of a WH reporter (well, of what a WH reporter should be).
It was a question with the clear intent to cause trouble as opposed to a serious question about a serious subject. There should be a certain amount of respect and dignity in these pressers.
