Black-red want to stop price wars, Union and SPD consider measures against preisdumping with Discounters such as Aldi and Lidl. The future government wants to forbid the ruinous discount battle in the trade by law.

Berlin - which coalition working group under line of the designate federal consumer protection Minister refuge Seehofer (CSU) and the Federal Secretary of Justice on appropriate measures informed itself Brigitte Zypries (SPD), reports the "citizens of Berlin newspaper". Therefore the Koalitionaere wants to forbid the sales of food under cost price in the future in principle. In the course of a novella of the trust right the ruinous price competition between the Lebensmitteldiscountern is to be limited and smaller and middle enterprises against competitive disadvantages to be protected. The project still stands under the reservation of a total agreement between union and SPD, continued to be called it. If it should be converted, the Discounter might offer also briefly no more food for approving of prices.

The trust right forbids already today the durable sales of products under the cost price. But against short term actions, which take partially only few days, there are so far none handles. By the so-called cost price the Federal Cartel Office understands the cost price less all discounts and privileges. Verbraucherschuetzer and producers demand already for a long time a sharper procedure against such cheap offers with food.

How is every problem fixed? With a government tax, law or subsidy!

As I stated before, even the German "right" is left when you're talking economics.

Competition is viewed as something “bad”. Why do you never get refills on drinks in Germany? It’s called collusion, and it’s the “norm”. Businesses like Wal-Mart are basically told to price within a certain pricing band and if they don’t play ball they go after them. You'll never see coupons (The US price cutting style) in Germany because it's an illegal business practice.........

But what the hell, a woman can get a free abortion at government’s expense. Just like the former communists in the East.

And some don't think it's a "socialist" state? The Germans have become literally a DDR light.

Sadly, lower and lower prices are the inevitable consequence of market capitalism. Protecting the workers from cheaper food is a sacred duty of the state.

Besides, competition simply sets one person against another - that's not the civilized German way.
