This has been all over our local news. He's a black male. Also, its been reported that he will be tried as an adult. Good thing Alabama has the death penalty. I hope he gets it.
You can thanks the SC's last ruling on the death penalty when this POS is just sitting in there with a mere sentence of life with no parole.
If he's 15 he is a minor and CANNOT be put to death.
Me? I think he needs to be hung from the lamp post.
Tried as an adult? Good! Kills as an adult, serves adult time. Fry the buzzard.
Our left leaning SC has ruled that a teen may not get the death penalty, because Europe doesn't do it and that would make it immmoral.
That's a paraphrase, of course, but in essence, that's what happened. Crimes committed as a "child" may not get the death penalty.
He won't. Don't you remember the SCOTUS said that "children" under the age of 16 who murder can't be put to death, since the other countries (at least the countries that they want to quote in this case) don't do it...

This is why I have 4 female relatives in Jackson Miss who quit teaching public and went private for less money.
Same thing here in Nashville though to a lesser degree.
Gives new meaning to blackboard jungle....can be lethal now, not just hooliganism.
Ain't gonna happen. The Supreme's have spoken, nobody under 21 gets death. We have a similar case out here on the "right side" of the San Francisco Bay (the Vitale killing in Lafayette, CA, been in all the papers).
The local county DA has said that, even though 1st Degree Murder with Special Circumstances is in order here, Life with no parole is the best he can do.
He can't get the death penalty.
You can think the alcu and the U.S. Supreme Court.
At this point...I'd agree with you.
I could change my mind...with more details, but I doubt it.
FWIW-
That would be fitting but remember our wonderful Supreme Court said it was unconstitutional to execute the "children" who do these killings.
