Better known as "Bush Derangement Syndrome"
Tina Fey on last night's / this morning's SNL "Weekend Update" gave one of her usual, notorious, reprehensible Pubbie-bashing displays, going into some kind of faux-sexual devotional for Fitzgerald. OTOH, she also did a soft-glove lampoon of Maureen Dowd's drivel about Judy Miller and how it reflects on the NY Times.
wow, Southack, that was a great spiel. Well worth stealing!
Clue me in.
IIRC, she was some sort of "operative" in the early-mid 90's. She was brought back to the states in the mid 90's when Aldrich Ames (?) outed a bunch of CIA Ops. She has NOT been a "covert" agent since.
This has been nothing more than another witch hunt, at the taxpayer's expense.
She's not. She's just another partisan media shill.
and a bump to you, too. :-)
Did you see Chuck Schumer on O'Reilly on Friday night?
The final question to Schumer was, "Knowing that it was the word of three reporters against the word of Libby, why would he still lie to the investigators and the grand jury?"
Schumer's answer was, "I don't have any facts, this is just speculation, but the only plausible explanation is that there was a meeting with Bush, Rove, Cheney, and Libby, where they said 'Get this guy [Wilson]. Leak that his wife is a CIA agent.' That's the only explanation that makes sense to me."

Do you notice how they always refer to her as the "first female head-writer on SNL?"
Whenever someone starts prefacing-and highlighting-an individual's achievements with a reference to his or her sex you know you're not dealing with Grade-A talent.
I don't think Rove's lawyers leaked any story about him being indicted. They probably asked his lawyer if Rove testified with assurances that he wouldn't be indicted, and the media ran from there with their wishful thinking.
It would appear the far left liberal commies are not such wonderful people by any stretch of the imagination. Now how does one convince the willing masses of folks who do not follow what the left represents, to see things how many of us do. Das is a little problem we have.
Your entire post at #41 is wonderful . . . just wonderful. It's the best post I've seen here on FR in a long time.

How do you know this? I borrowed your "bent kneed Monica" for this weeks tag. Are you OK with that? Thanks.
Eh, I don't think JFK is any less trustworthy then any other President. JFK isn't as good as some make him out to be, and he made some big mistakes. But I don't think that, with the possible exception of Lieberman, there is a single Democrat in Congress that would have stood up to the Russians during the CMC.
Johnson, on the other hand, made Clinton look like a Boy Scout.
But that's beside the point. The reason the Dems are paranoid is because to them:
Every war = Vietnam (and we exited Vietnam too late, not too early, and gave to much aid afterwards, not too little.),
and
Every Republican President = Nixon (and every single wacked out theory about Nixon is true).
Its simple.
Great tag line, btw.
How do I know that Scooter Libby and his wife are life-long Democrats?
Because I pay more attention than do silly, immature reporters.
Scooter was vice-president of Yale's student Democrats...an active anti-war student activist...out of college he worked for Dechert Price, a law firm that **only** donates money to Democrats...from 1985 to 2000 Scooter was infamous Democrat Marc Rich's attorney (of President Clinton's Pardon-gate infamy)...Scooter won two awards in 1993 from the Clinton Administration...also did NSC work for the Clinton Administration...and never made a donation to a Republican.
His wife was more recently a staff attorney for Senate Democrats on the Judiciary Committee, a position to which Democrats apply a litmus test (either you are one of them or else you don't get on it).

You're good. Really good.
Thanks for the tag.
Good post. I should also add that Libby's indictment is not related to the war, and despite of the MSM going wild and making it sound like the worse scandal in the history of the nation, the underlying crime is nonexistent. The whole Fitzgerald enterprise has nothing to do with the war to the dismay and tribulations of the Rats. Furthermore, no matter how hard they try to bring down the Bush administration, the Democrats are unable to gain an advantage in the polls, lol.
