Don't forget about the double-standard. A Republican commits a crime and "a culture of corruption" is uncovered. A Democrat commits a crime, such as taking sensitive classified documents out of the National Archives for the purpose of destroying them, and he gets a slap on the wrist.

I always like the one about Alabama (I think) Representative Alcee Hastings. As an impeached and convicted judge, he's not supposed to be allowed to hold any public office, yet he has served as an elected Representative for years.
Can you imagine a Republican getting such a pass?
