It looks like night has just fallen in that area. Could this be a "Night of Determination" thing?

Hizbul-Mujahideen Claim Responsibility For Attack On Bus Carrying Indian Troops
In Srinagar
Oct 28, 2005
By Umm Talha, JUS Kashmir Correspondent

At least one Indian border guard was killed and 21 others injured when
Hizbul-Mujahideen hit a bus
carrying Indian troops on the Srinagar-Jammu highway by detonating a car bomb full
of explosives as
Indian acts of state terrorism continued as Kashmiris marked Black Day.

“Militants have targeted our bus with a car bomb,” a spokesman for India’s Border
Security Force said. “Six
of those injured were civilians”, he added.

According to reports, the bus was completely destroyed in the attack. The
Hizbul-Mujahideen claimed
responsibility for the bombing. The attack follows the assassination of the puppet
education minister last
week, also in the state’s capital Srinagar.

5 Indian Soldiers Killed In Grenade Attack

In the region of Safa-kadal in occupied Kashmir, Mujahideen threw a grenade at a
convoy of the 18th
battalion of the C.R.P.F, as it was passing a bridge. The grenade violently exploded
near the soldiers,
killing 5 of them instantly and wounding many others. The Jaish-e-Mohammad group
has accepted
responsibility for this attack.

More Attacks Occur Throughout Occupied Kashmir

Two Indian army soldiers were killed in an attack in the Gandoh area of Doda district,
early Wednesday
morning. The incident took place when troops were heading for a violent military
operation in the area.
After the attack, a heavy contingent of army was deployed in the area. In another
incident, two Indian
soldiers were injured in an attack in the Pattan area of Baramulla district. There was
also fierce fighting
between Mujahideen and Indian soldiers, after the villages of Sheikhpura, Bahipura
and Madarpura in
Rafi’Abad were cordoned off. Two Indian soldiers were killed in the battle that lasted
all night long. Three
Mujahids were said have been martyred but their identity has not been disclosed.
Another violent clash
occurred between Mujahideen and Indian soldiers in the region of Pathipura. During
this encounter, a
number of houses were destroyed by Indian shelling.

As soon as Indian forces were alerted to the presence of Mujahideen in Mandri,
Banihaal, they cordoned
off the area and began house-to-house searches. A violent clash followed between
Mujahideen and Indian
forces personnel that lasted a number of hours. Three Mujahids belonging to the
Hizbul-Mujahideen were
martyred and another was arrested; one Indian soldier was killed and a police
constable named Irshad
Ahmad was injured. Also, on Hari-Singh High Street, Mujahideen attacked a patrolling
convoy of the 67th
battalion of C.R.P.F. A sub-inspector named Mr. Lal was killed on the spot while
another soldier was rushed
to hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Jaish-e-Mohammad has accepted
responsibility for this attack
and verified the two Indian casualties.

No Let-up In Indian Army State Terrorism

During house-to-house searches in Shopian, two youths were shot dead in public on
the grounds of being
Mujahideen. According to locals, Naseer Ahmad and Yunis Malik were ordinary civilians
that worked in a
factory. In Pehlgaam, Indian agents stormed into a house and martyred a man named
Muneer Ahmad and
his cousin Mustafa after torturing them. Meanwhile, a dead body was recovered from
Jhelum River at
Panta Chowk, on the Srinagar-Jammu highway. Troops arrested five persons from the
Srinagar, Pulwama,
and Baramulla areas.

Kashmiris Observe Black Day

Yesterday, Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and all over the world
observed Black Day to
mark India's continued illegal occupation of their soil. It was on October 27th 1947
that Indian armed
forces invaded Jammu and Kashmir and occupied its major part in total disregard of
international norms and
Kashmiris' aspirations, beginning a campaign of tyranny and oppression that
continues till this day. The
day was marked by a total shutdown in occupied Kashmir. Once again, India was
urged to allow
international relief organizations to conduct relief and rehabilitation work in
quake-affected areas of
occupied Kashmir. (JUS)

Night of Determination"

I've seen this a couple of times in posts and don't know what it means. What does it refer to? Thanks.
