Crazy Howie sez: ""More importantly, we can't ignore the glaring questions this case has raised about the rationale the Bush Administration used to send us to war in Iraq..."

Prosecutor Fitzgerald sez: "This indictment is not about the war. Not about the propriety of the war. This is stripped of that debate and focused on a narrow transaction...they will be frustrated and not good for process and fairness of trial."

This is a sad day for America.

The DemonRats have this right. --- After two years, Fritzerald couldn't find the crime he was charged to prosecute.

The Administration of William Jefferson Clinton is the most ethical in History, and he never lied--so said the impeached, disgraced ex-president himself, and never forget, that all depends on what the definition of the word "is" is.

They didn't get anyone for the "crime" they were supposed to investigate and they've over played their hand on the charges they did bring. The taxpayers getting stuck for the bill is the real crime here.

A daydream I had today...A 3 point plan for Bush and the Pubs...

First, Bush should just pardon any of his staff involved with this Plame thing, indicted or not. Let the Dems howl, Billy Jeff would have done it for Berger had he been Prez at the time. Then, go full bore after Wilson and his cohorts at Langley, legally of course, and expose the Dem/Left treachary once and for all. Finally, he should nominate a Justice that would make Biden and Kennedy's fat heads explode....

...and then I woke up to reality.

Yet, claudiustg, what if there was a real crime? Does not all evidence gathered- present a crime to be solved?

You know, the more I think about it, the bigger the stakes appear in this game. We learned today that France, Russia, Marc Rich, and several corporations benefitted from Saddam's Oil for Food scams. Make no mistake about it, this was big time corruption. The program was intended to feed Iraqis, not line people's pockets. We learned that France and Russia had big oil exploration contracts with the Iraqi dictator. And the person involved in the forged Niger documents says he was paid by France to procure the documents. We also know that politicians such as George Galloway took Saddam's money, and one or more U.N. officials.

Now think back to the Presidential candidacy of John Kerry. What did he advocate? Going to the U.N. Bringing in France. Going to the people who today we find are tainted with corruption. Were these the "foreign leaders" who Kerry said supported his candidacy? What would the consequences be now if Kerry had won?

I'm not paranoid, but it is a fact that there are "spooks" in the World working for foreign governments. Who pays them? Who do they owe their loyalty to? What about people in the CIA?

And whose butts are being covered by Howard Dean and the people in the DNC? I confess, some of the things I see happening make me suspicious.

I think that, a year from now, it will be evident that the constant media attacks will have backfired. They have done the worst thing imaginable: they have infuriated and galvanized the GOP base, and it will be payback time. The time now is to FIGHT -- for our agenda now, and to get rid of the lasr few red-state Dem senators a year from now.

It should be obvious to all, including the Dems themselves, that the Dems won't stop until they run Bush out of town.

..yes...Barf Alert would have been a nice touch!

Imagine too, that for months now, the left has been worrying themselves sick about whether or not the terrorists at Gitmo are getting 'due process'..whether they were tied up to face barking dogs/tortured...whether Saddam would get a fair trial!
They already have taken Libby's right to a fair trial away..they are barking down his neck with the anticipation of a pack of rapid dogs and the zeal of a crazed crack whore getting high after going without for 3 hours..AND EVEN have him serving 30 to life without even a trial!!

Go Figure....

I'm not sure what you're getting at. You think they need more time to piece the thing together? Two years not enough?

Yet, claudiustg, what if there was a real crime?

If there was a real crime, Fitzgerald would have charged somebody with outing her; what does that tell you?

Does not all evidence gathered- present a crime to be solved?

There is no evidence of a crime concerning the so called outting of Valerie Plame.

This is how the loser democraps need to do politics because they can't win at the ballot box. So they use bogus indictments of our elected Republican officials and their staff to force them out.

We need to change to a system where Republicans stay until found guilty of a crime because the democraps are abusing the legal system for indictments and they don't even care if the person is guilty because the indictment itself is enough to force them to resign.

Eternal shame on democraps for dragging our system of government down to the lowest levels.

"Give me a break. Even Travelgate, one of the lesser-known Clinton scandals, made this look like nothing."

But Travelgate was one of their own. Perception is all that matters.

It's pathetic that the entire MSM, led by their dishonest flagship the NYT, and the Democratic Party have had worked together tirelessly since 2000 on the single objective of getting George W. Bush and this is the best they have come up with. It just goes to show how far from what they try to portray him as he actually is. It RAISES my estimation of him as both a politician and an ethical human being who surrounds himself with good people.

Libby is nothing compared to the shysters and thugs the Clintons allowed to wonder 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue for the simple reason that is what all of their close associates are.
