When are people going to wake up and see that corporal punishment with a paddle is a GOOD thing? I'm a judge and I swear if more "children" were paddled, there would be fewer in prison where they REALLY get beat up and abused.
People need to get over themselves and get back to reality. Breaking bones is too much. Burning with cigaretts is too much. Bringing forth blood is too much. A paddling is NOT TOO MUCH. A few welts and bruises is NOT TOO MUCH.
Hey, aren't you one of the ones in the running for that SCOTUS job?
Have you ever hit your tail-bone? That is not a spanking.
Agreed. It has also been my experience that those who complain the most about the least amount of appropriate discipline are also the most likely to fly off the handle in a rage and use violence in the name of discipline out of vindictiveness when they feel affronted by a youngster.
Meanwhile, those who use the paddle responsibly are mre than conscientious about when its use is most appropriate. Discipline by same sex teachers and beyond a certain age made more public at a higher degree of authority.
If the parents want to paddle their child, it should be up to them.
However, I would sue a school if they ever touched one of my children. I don't trust the schools.
They can suspend a kid. If the child is misbehaving bad enough, then call the police.
My dad had told me about a marriage he had before I was born. He had two stepsons who were the biggest monsters. (i.e., he bought them new boots. they thanked him by throwing them in the lake). He said they were spanked so hard for that they had welts on their butts. After that they became the most well behaved children. Even their father commented that he had never seen them behave so well.
