I agree with you. We certainly have a ruling class. And it is perilous times for those who believe in the Constitution and limited government. And the left isn't the only side chipping away at the Constitution, either.

Let's not forget that ol' slick is a disbarred lawyer ~ something the media has totally ignored as they continue to always refer to him as President clinton while, , as a gesture of disdain, deliberately referring to President Bush as Mister Bush!!

Uh, Bob.

Nice to see you.

It can't be an oligarchy of democrats.
The Republicans are in charge.

So, it might be a Cowardacracy or a Dumbocracy, but how can it be an oligarchy run by the party who is out of party?

Just incompetants being jerked around by a bunch of thugs.

Because, for example, the Clinton's were both proved ...

I read this far, saw the use of the apostrophe to indicate a plural, and decided that if the author wasn't professional enough to proofread his work, his thoughts probably weren't worth wasting my time upon.

Sloppy writing bespeaks sloppy thinking.

Nothing wrong with an oligarchy, except some of the Commies use the term in derogation. Some countries write constitutions especially to institute their oligarchy in an orderly way. The whole world as bourgeois, imagine! No more plebs, no more proles, everybody bourgeois, that's the way we are headed since the failure of Marxism has become apparent to even the blindest anarchist.

I find it hard to believe that you can call a country an oligarchy when the example that is given is someone who grew up dirt-poor and went on to become President of the United States. I should note I have complete and utter disdain for President Clinton, and wish that he had never arrived on the political scene.

The triumph of the mob is just as evil a thing as the triumph of the plutocracy, and to have escaped one danger avails nothing whatever if we succumb to the other. In the end the honest man, whether rich or poor, who earns his own living and tries to deal justly by his fellows, has as much to fear from the insincere and unworthy demagog, promising much and performing nothing, or else performing nothing but evil, who would set on the mob to plunder the rich, as from the crafty corruptionist, who, for his own ends, would permit the common people to be exploited by the very wealthy. If we ever let this Government fall into the hands of men of either of these two classes, we shall show ourselves false to America's past. Moreover, the demagog and the corruptionist often work hand in hand. There are at this moment wealthy reactionaries of such obtuse morality that they regard the public servant who prosecutes them when they violate the law, or who seeks to make them bear their proper share of the public burdens, as being even more objectionable than the violent agitator who hounds on the mob to plunder the rich. There is nothing to choose between such a reactionary and such an agitator; fundamentally they are alike in their selfish disregard of the rights of others; and it is natural that they should join in opposition to any movement of which the aim is fearlessly to do exact and even justice to all.

~ Theodore Roosevelt, 6th Annual Message to Congress, December 3, 1906

You're right Bob. I know it, you know it but what difference will it make? None! Our guys had the power to stop this but instead acted like a bunch of geldings. They had the opportunity to put the country on the right track but chose the easy, cowardly option.

IS THERE ANY REASON TO VOTE ANY LONGER? Does our vote make any difference in the political course of events in this country any longer?

Yes, our votes are literally driving the socialists in the press clinically insane.

A few more years of this and this oligarchy will collapse from within due to their own insanity.

Good afternoon Bob Ireland:

A great essay topic, unfortunately, this is like a bad dream.

Sandy Burglar destroys evidence concerning the 9/11 investigation, and gets a slap on the wrist. A firing squad is the appropriate punishment for this treasonous crime.

John F’n Kerry, treasonous ba$tard-MA, outs a CIA operative, and nothing happens. Once, again, even twenty-five years ago, a firing squad was an appropriate punishment.

Joe Wilson lies on behalf of the Oil for Food plunders, slanders our Nation. And Wilson outs his wife as a CIA operative. Again, a firing squad is the appropriate punishment for the crime. Yet Libby, who exposes CIA involvement in fraud, gets punished. Where's the whistle blower protection?
