Nothing to complain about with Allen's list. Hopefully, George Allen will get to add a few more justices after he is elected president in 2008.

What do you mean? I was just being (realistically) optimistic about Allen winning in 2008. As far as his other comments, he was asked who he thought would be good and he answered.

I'd include Michael McConnell on that list, too.

Is there anything about Roe or Abortion in those quotes?

I don't think Alito's name was "in play" when Allen made his comments. I didn't know a lot about Alito before today, but everything that I've read has really impressed me.

A month ago, we were seeing articles exactly like this.
I bet Bush goes with his gardener this time around.

Luttig & Brown are fine with me. I don't know as much about Wilkerson or Williams, so they may be alright.
I especially like the fact that JRB has received lots of flak for her views and remains "unrepentant." I REALLY like that, as it makes her less likely to flip due to the pressure to "fit in" that will inevitably come with being on the Court.

Is this the same Allen who thought the President should meet with Mother Sheehan?
Thought so.
