Like Rush said just before he went off the air today, Fitzpatick wants to extend the investigation because he's fishing for a RAT who will help him get ROVE - the guy he is is really trying to nail. BTW - did you notice how indignant he became at the very thought that someone may have "lied to the media"??
Yep! I wouldn't be one bit surprised if one of those FBI files Hillary illegally had upstairs in their private quarters didn't pertain to Fitzpatrick.

It seems to me that the "crime" is not outing Plame but not saying your did or didn't. That is with holding or falsifying evidence.
One could say this is entrapment, which is illegal.
But if no crime was committed in the outing of a CIA spook, can there be a crime to cover up by with holding evidence? (by the associative laws of algebra, so to speak).
