I would say from what I have seen of Fitzgerald he is pretty impartial. He's worked over former IL Gov. Ryan's administration and elements of Chicago Mayor Daily's. I always suspected that they had a "good ol boy network" going. I always had issues with how Daily and Ryan seemed to be good pals. A lot of patronage was going on in IL. He was brought in to bust it up which he has. He's got indictments on both Ryan's people and Daily's people and it looks like he may hook Daily in the future. Ryan is currently in court defending himself. He's a follow through type of guy.

Republicans resign. Democrats bluff it out and blame out of control prosecutors for destroying people and engaging in the "politics of personal destruction."

We cannot afford to have any administration inadvertently "outing" our secret service men and women. And when we are talking about an actual undercover agent, not a former undercover agent using her position in a deliberate and nepotistic attempt to undermine a sitting administration, yeah, get back to us.

Amen! If you can't tell the truth to the grand jury, you have no business working in an administration. Now, if he is later acquitted, he should be again given a position, just to tick off the lefties.

Protecting CHENEY at all cost. Which cost him his job and a good possibility his FREEDOM....hopefully W will pardon Libby if he's convicted.
Only fair since all this is pretty lame when the REAL CULPRITS got NOT A F 'IN THING...investigations by Libbys' lawyers however may prove to be most interesting....give what they actually find to the DOJ...then hopefully the DOJ will go after them...however after what happened to Burglar through the DOJ, I'm not holding my breath.

do you REALLY want Condi Rice as Vice President? What are you talking about?
Are you aware of the order of succession?
The Speaker of the House is next in line.

To really get rid of data on a hard drive, you have to destroy the hard drive's storage disk. Nah, there are good security programs that will perform a multi-pass secure wipe of data. If you put lots of random data over the top of deleted data five or ten times, they aren't going to get any residual magnetic echoes that can be deciphered.

Unbelievable! We can only hope for a speedy trial and get the Wilsons on the stand. These are trumped up charges and should be tossed.

Just one more mortar shell the MSM and the gang lobbed at the WH, only to have it fall far short of the target. ;-)

Libby has no right to lie to a grand jury just because he thinks the charges are lame. You're still not getting it.
If I were Fitz, and this is all I could come up with, I would be too embarrassed to actually try to take this mess to trial.
Prosecutors have discretion. He should have utilized his, packed his bags, and gone home.

so lying to protect the vice president is a less of a lie, then lying about having sex?

So let me get this straight: Libby told the FBI and grand jury he got Plame's name from reporters, but actually he got her name from Cheney. After 22 months of investigation we get this? Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

BS. If that was true, the statute would been applied against Administration officials. No crime was committed. The prosecutor had to entrap people into lying to get indictments. It doesn't say much for a year of work into determining whether any laws were broken. The answer appears to be NO.
