Tendeparacua, Mexico -- Maria de la Luz Arroyo works quietly, her sewing machine clacking away as reams of polyester disappear, reemerging as neatly folded comforters and pillowcases.
"There used to be several young women working here with us, but when the men came back from the United States at Christmastime, they all married and went to live up there," Arroyo said as she and one other employee toiled in a raw cinderblock space with five idle machines.

This is what I wish the Catholic Church supported - you can love your neighbor by doing what you can to make their country a better place to live.
Ya know, if there were actually any workers left in Mexico, maybe there'd be enough industry to get the country out of poverty... and if Fox et al would keep their dirty mitts of the people's pesos.
While I'm semi-joking I seriously say this would vastly improve a country that Mexicans are too fearful or corrupt to.
