"Somebody probably pulled her aside and said, 'Harriet, it's going to be a terrible experience and why go through with it, because they've already made up their minds,'" said Sen. George Voinovich, R-Ohio, who blasted conservative groups for undermining the nominee. Other lawmakers welcomed the move.
Great Senator from Ohio. What a joke he is.

Why oh why are GOP politicians from my state so embarrassing (Ken Blackwell being an exception)?

"Let's move on," said Republican Sen. Trent Lott of Mississippi. "In a month, who will remember the name Harriet Miers?" Uh.. The people on her Bowling team?

Ohio Senators are getting as bad as the Rino's from Maine.

I was just going to quote the first part.
Let's move on," said Republican Sen. Trent Lott of Mississippi.
Now, where have I heard that before? What a klutz.

What an insensitive boob. Thanks so much for that meaningless quote, Trent, I'm sure that makes Ms. Miers feel a whole lot better.

Democrats accused him of bowing to the "radical right wing of the Republican Party." Well, at least somebody gets it!

Correction:
"After all, she had seen what I did to John Bolton, and she couldn't probably stand to see a grown man cry"
To: indianrightwinger
The dems seem not to understand that conservatives are not a wing of any party.

The only time I listen to The Parrot-Hannity is when I'm bored to tears on a long drive. I think as a "Great American," he wrote a book, "My Good Friend."

Yup, no bias here. AP is upset that conservatives had the nerve to tell Bush to stand down. They were hoping that we'd just grab our ankles and bite the pillow again.
To: JustaCowgirl
Insensitive boob is right. No call for that disrespetful remark from him.

To borrow from Steinbeck ('The Moon is Down'), the left is astonished to find that conservatives--like Free Republic--have as many leaders as they have members,
compared to the "Party of the Sheeple".
To: indianrightwinger
Conservatives need to eliminate both Voinovich and DeWine the next time both are up for re-election. There is no reason to tolerate either in a red state like Ohio.

Maybe Coulter is "gloating" because she and those that agree with her now see hope for the appointment of true conservative to the Supreme Court that has a proven track record, understands and articulate the originalist philosophy from the bench and is under 60 years old.
Every conservative should be pleased that Bush has a chance to nominated a superior candidate for SCOTUS.
