Reed is telegraphing the fear of the Left: that Bush will now nominate a solid, proven conservative, and the greatly touted and cherished "division in the GOP" will suddenly evaporate.

And exactly how will a "true" conservative ever get out of the Judiciary Committee? Much less the rest of the Senate?
