'Nothing yet follows on this. . .'

This seems to be a 'breaking' news - announcement. . .though it probably affects smaller portion of population. . .nonetheless; I surely hope this is cleared up quickly. . .and to Fox News and Sirius advantage. . .. .

I've been a Sirius subscriber for over a year and losing Fox is the last straw for me. Last night I ordered a Delphi XM2GO unit.

I haven't been very happy with Sirius for a while, now. I've never been too keen about having a lesbo Democrat offered on the right wing channel. They've got Mike Church, who in spite of his name, is anti-christian and rude. They've got Jerry Doyle...another anti-Republican moderate that I've never found interesting.

The G-Man is interesting, he talks too slow for my taste, but if Rush is on vacation, he'll do in a pinch. Then there's NRA radio with Cam Edwards. He made me realize how talented Rush is because he isn't. He's pathetic. He's not afraid to rant, but he has these frequent seconds long pauses that are attention killers. NRA radio conducts man-on-the-street interviews and I swear the guy who asks the questions can barely talk, let alone ask a coherent question. It amazes me that they have gotten this far in radio.

So, when I get tired of talk, I'll switch over to Classic Vinyl and wouldn't you know it they've got a dj that believes he's the reason you subscribed to Sirius. I swear he talks between every song. Mark Goodman dj's on Classic Rewind and I think he's the best dj on Sirius.

I'm looking forward to XM. XM carries the Fox News Channel and the new Fox Talk Radio venture. When Snow was out for health reasons, John Gibson did a great job. He's good. Tony's okay, but I wish he'd be a lot less cordial to liberals and a lot more patient with conservatives he disagrees with. For instance, Tony was a late comer to the whole illegal immigration issue and damn, he was arrogant about it. Don't even try to talk trade with him. In my view, the whole liberal vs. conservative debate is passe. It's time to move the debate forward. Rush hasn't recognized this, either. I'd like to see the debate go in the direction of globalism vs. conservatism.

With Sirius mortgaging the farm for Howard Stern and dropping Fox they have clearly become the liberal satellite radio station and I look forward to the day when XM takes them over after the bankruptcy.

I will 'second' that. And agree as well. . .

with the 'slowness' of the G-man albeit he does offer some insights. . .occasionally. . . and Snow although associated with Fox News is a great guy; but he firmly rooted in the 'nice'. . .or perhaps his voice cannot do 'angry'. . .whatever, I get more than impatient when he cannot emotionally 'rise' to the issues and people, we are literally at war with. . . and so find him frustrating. . .

As for Tammy Bruce; not always in agreement; but do like her. ..and think as an ex-Lib; she can bring some enlightenment to Liberals. . .where others are doomed to fail.

And while Rush has yet to go 'satellite'; he has talked about his options; but should he; I now doubt it would be Sirius.

Fox News was my original motivation for going Satellite. . .and turning to 133 and hearing CNN - could in short time; make me a hazzard on the road; so have to deal with this quickly! Am traveling today. . .and not happy about my radio options.

SIRIUS must be listening as a recent survey to their subscribers included a couple of questions about FOX News. Follows are responses from FOX and SIRIUS to my emails:

From FOX News: "Here’s the story: we have been taken off of Sirius because management there allowed the contract to expire without renewing it, despite the fact that we contacted them more than six months ago. We contacted XM at the same time and had a new contract after just a few short meetings. There's some nonsense on the Internet that we gave XM a better deal than we're asking from Sirius. That IS just nonsense. We've never asked Sirius for a penny more than we've gotten from XM. We WANT to be back on Sirius. If you’d like to help us out, give Sirius a call at 888-539-7474 and let them know how important FOX News is to you."

From SIRIUS: "SIRIUS is also disappointed that the FOX News Channel will no longer be included in our programming lineup. We are still in conversations with FOX in the hopes that they will return to the air and will continue to work in the best interest of our subscribers."

"At SIRIUS, we appreciate your programming feedback regarding the FOX News Channel // Channel 133. SIRIUS is currently discussing future programming options with FOX and we will do what we believe to be in best interest of our subscribers and shareholders."

When I contacted BMW the other day re change. . .the person I spoke with was shocked and disappointed. . .and concerned. . .good to let your radio source know as well. . .this affects all those who sell Sirius radio et al. . .

Meantime. . .I will continue to e-mail Sirius with the hope for change; and I hope those who drop them; let them hear as well.

p.s. Sirius sites seem to be unavailable right now. . .but one footnote. . .seems Fox News is busy getting ready to take on the/a 'Playboy channel programming'

Maybe already mentioned here; but while news of Fox News departure is at best, 'sparse'. . .it seems there is more to celebrate in 'Leftwingland'. . .and a Sirius.
