The quagmire in Iraq, the rising deficits, no control of our borders, and forgetting his base has undermined his second term. No way around it, Miers was a terrible choice at a time Prsident Bush really needs the suppoprt of his base.

Iraq is not a quagmire, do not use the hateful Left taking points. We are winning in Iraq against the terrorists and we will achieve our complete victory there.

The quagmire in IraqYou're either a leftist or woefully ignorant.

The quagmire in Iraq Haven't you been paying attention? Iraq is most certainly no quagmire; they've gotten their constitution ratified quicker than America did.
And as for Miers' withdrawal...eh, oh well. Now let's see if Bush picks a proven conservative instead of a stealth candidate. Maybe this time the nominee will go far enough to get to the hearing. (also hopes the conservatives don't each other this time around)
